Shree Somnath Sanskrit University is situated in Junagadh, Gujarat and it provides various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Veda, Vyakaran, Sahitya, Darshan, Astrology and many more. The requirements may also differ from one department to another and from one course to another. For Veda, students need 12th pass in Sanskrit or any equivalent examination. For Astrology, students should be 12th pass in any stream with Sanskrit and for Vyakaran, Sahitya and Darshan, 12th pass is enough. The University accepts qualifying exams such as state boards, CBSE, ICSE among others. Some of the most pursued classes are Acharya in Veda, Astrology, Vyakaran , Sahitya, Darshan and Shastri in the same branches.

The University admissions for 2024 will begin in the May-June of the year 2023. Different diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Veda, Darshan, Vyakaran, Sahitya, Astrology, etc. Courses will be taught here. The interested candidates can apply online or offline before the tentative admission date up to third week of June 2023. The University plans to come up with the admission brochure and examination notification from March to April, 2023 via Somsnathsanskrituniversity.in. The examination is expected to be conducted in May/June 2023. A pass in the entrance examination of the respective stream and merit in the qualifying examination shall be the criteria for admissions. The provisional merit list for the entrance exam for admissions 2024 has been announced and is expected to come out by the first week of July. Admission consists of applying, writing the stream relevant exam, results and document check as per the timetable.

Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:

  • Enter all the required details
  • Fill up the application form completely & submit it.
  • Candidates will be allotted a user ID & password from the confirmation page.
  • The same User ID & Password will be sent to the candidate's registered Email ID for future reference.
  • Upload passport size photograph (less than 1 MB) and all the required documents.
  • Pay Online & Download Receipt.

1. The following are the steps that you should follow if you want to visit the official website of SSSU Junagadh; Visit the SSSU Junagadh official website through the link www.sssu.edu.in.

2. Locate the link labeled B.Ed admissions and then click on it. It will be under the Academic tab and will be found on the main page of the website.

3. You will be redirected to the B.Ed admission page. Next, search for the link to the online application form and click on it.

4. The application form shall appear on the screen. Provide all the necessary personal, academic, and contact information as accurately as you can.

5. It is recommended to upload scanned images of photograph and signature as well as documents such as educational certificates etc. as per the prescribed dimensions and size.

6. Pay the application fee through online mode like credit/debit card, net banking etc. 

7. Before submitting the B.Ed application form, ensure that everything that has been filled is correct.

SSSU Junagadh MA How To Apply?

1. Ensure SSSU Junagadh has the MA program you wish to apply for in order you check the eligibility requirements. Ensure that you have the necessary education qualifications and percentage as a minimum requirement.

2. Go to the SSSU Junagadh website and navigate through the various tabs and find the admissions tab. Find the link to the application form for MA programs and then click on it to download. 

3. Ensure that all necessary documents are included and complete the MA application form correctly. This consists of photocopies of 10th and 12th mark sheets, graduate degree certificates, caste certificate if the candidate is applying for reserved category etc.

4. Deposit the application fees either online or through demand draft as the case may be. A breakdown of application fees should also be stated on the admission website or in the prospectus.

5. Finally, send the completed MA application form, the documents and fees receipt online or in person at the SSSU Junagadh office before the application period elapses. Provide more documents as and when necessary.

6. Keep records and copies of the application for future use. Receipt of application completion can be downloaded in case when application was submitted online or can be received in university office.
