Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University (SBVU) is a Self-financed University in Puducherry and has ‘Deemed University’ status. It was established in 2008 and is also UGC recognized university and approved by the Medical Council of India & Dental Council of India. NAAC has accredited SBVU in the year 2020 and awarded the A Grade accreditation. In the NIRF India Rankings 2023, the SBVU has 36th position among universities in India.
SBVU provides medical, dental, nursing and allied health sciences and management and other professional courses at Bachelor and Master degree levels. Some of the courses currently being offered in this university are MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MDS, BSC Nursing, Msc Nursing, BPT, MPT, B.Pharm, M.Pharm and MHA. Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Admissions are on the basis of 10+2 or equivalent qualification with PCMB with 50% marks as a pre-requisite for MBBS and BDS courses.
2. For the various nursing programmes the admission criteria are as follows: The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
3. For entry to allied health science courses there is requirement of passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics with not less than 45 % marks in aggregate.
4. For master’s programs a candidate is expected to possess a four-year Bachelor’s degree in the specific discipline with not less than 50% marks from any university recognized by the university.
5. The candidates pursuing Ph.D must possess a master’s degree in the concerned subject with the aggregate of minimum 55% marks.
6. Other requirements for the course may include entrance test, performance in an interview, etc depending on the university.
Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University Placements 2024
The placement season at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University for the batch of 2024 has been successful and majority of the reputed companies have come forward for recruitment. According to the placement statistics, the percentage of the eligible students who got placed is more than 80% and the maximum salary offered was Rs 18 Lakh per annum with Microsoft.
