Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU) is situated at Hyderabad and provides different undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of agricultural sciences. The BSc Horticulture has the following minimum entry requirements; the candidate must have passed 12th standard with Biology/ Maths/ Agriculture. The admission requirements for the BTech Biotechnology program includes students who passed 12th with Biology/Maths and obtained at least 45% aggregate marks. Other accepted exams include TS EAMCET, ICAR and the examination conducted by the SKLTSHU. The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the MSc programs such as MSc Horticulture, MSc Forestry or MSc Agriculture are a BSc degree in the related field with minimum aggregate score of 50-55%. The entrance test for the Master’s program is TS PGECET, ICAR, and the entrance test of SKLTSHU.

This horticultural university located in Hyderabad provides several undergraduate programs in its different departments. BSc Horticulture course is provided by the Department of Horticulture and the basic admission requirements include; candidate must have passed in the Intermediate/10+2 exam in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Maths/ Agriculture groups. Acceptable entrance exams are TS EAMCET, AP EAMCET, and national level exams such as JEE Main. The BTech Food Technology program under the Department of Food Science & Technology have eligibility criteria of passing of Intermediate/10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Maths. These include TS EAMCET and AP EAMCET examinations only. The eligibility for taking admission in the BSc Forestry program in the Department of Forestry is pass in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Maths /Agriculture. These tests include Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test- TS EAMCET, Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test- AP EAMCET and national level tests.
UG programs in the University include various bachelors’ degrees and 4-year Bachelor of Technology (BTech). They include BSc Agriculture, BSc Horticulture, BTech Food Technology, BSc Forestry, BTech Biotechnology, BFSc Fisheries Science, BTech Dairy Technology, and BTech Food Science &Technology.
The Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU) in Hyderabad has PhD courses in Horticulture, Forestry, Sericulture Departments of Agricultural Engineering, Food Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Seed Science & Technology, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Agronomy, and Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry. The minimum requirements for the admission to a PhD across departments vary but these are the basic requirements: Master’s degree in the relevant specialization with not less than 55% marks or equivalent. The test accepted by the university for all departments and streams is the SKLTSHU PhD Entrance Test (SPET) conducted by the university.
