Under graduate courses include MBBS and post graduate courses include MD/MS and M.Sc nursing and diploma Holders courses offered by SMCW are MBBS, MD/MS, M.Sc nursing and diploma. The basic requirement to become eligible for the MBBS program is that the candidate must have passed class 12th and scored at least 50% marks in aggregate for physics, chemistry and biology. Clearing national level exams like NEET is also important for the students. The MD/MS, and other programs are available in the following specialties: Anesthesiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Dermatology, General Medicine, Microbiology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pathology, Pediatrics, Pharmacology, Physiology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiology and Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases. To be eligible, candidates must have sought admission to MBBS from any Indian university and completed it with at least 55% of the total aggregate marks. For paramedical diplomas in medical laboratory technology, operation theater technology, radiology & imaging technology and dialysis technology, applicants should have passed 12th from science division with minimum 50% marks.
Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW) Pune is yet another institution that has 150 seats for MBBS program annually. To join SMCW Pune, one has to complete an online application through the university official website at www.smcw.edu.in One can as well, download an application form from the university provided website or get an application form from the university admission office.
Online application process:
is simple and requires the user to log in to the portal and enter the details in the form for personal information, academic background, and contact information. The students are also required to upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature of the students along with the copies of the 10th and the 12th marks sheets, Aadhaar card and the domicile certificate. Till the submission of the application, it is mandatory to pay Rs. 1000/- through credit/debit card, net banking or UPI only.
Offline application process:
Students to get the form in printed form, complete and enclose the necessary documents and then drop it at the admission center with a Demand Draft. It is conducted during January to March each year before the NEET examination for applicants for the following year. The counseling process for admission to the above courses will be done based on the NEET scores secured by the students Students have to attend counselling sessions and the counselling process will be in several phases. Students can complete all other admission formalities like payment of fees, online through the candidate login or in person in the accounts office within the mentioned dates after the seat is allotted.

There are several Undergraduate Courses in Medical and Para medical field that Symbiosis Medical College for Women Pune offer. MBBS course has pre-requisites for admission such as minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 12th standard and NEET examination. As per the requirement for the BSc Nursing, one has to pass 12th standard in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 45% marks aggregate and acceptable test are Symbiosis Entrance Test or National Entrance cum Eligibility Test. The Bachelor of Physiotherapy requires passing 12th standard in Science with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology and + SET score.
The major undergraduate programs provided are MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing, BPT, B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc Medical Technology, BASLP, BOptomety and BOT. The main tests which are conducted every year are SET test in the first week of May 2024 and NEET test in the first week of July 2024. The admission mechanism includes passing the entrance test, registration to the chosen course with submission of documents, passing through the verification of documents and counseling sessions. Seat allotment is based on the rank, the options the candidate has given, the category to which the candidate belongs and the number of seats available.
