Symbiosis Skills & Professional University(SSPU) Pune is one of the popular destinations for higher education in India offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in faculties such as Management, Law, Media & Design, Computer Studies, Culinary Arts & International Business, and Engineering. The admission requirements depending on the program – BBA requires 12th passed in any field with 50% marks and having CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/MH-CET exams scores. For B.Des courses, the candidate must have cleared their 12th standard in any stream and must have portfolio which are mandatory for the respective program. BTech specializations are offered with 50% marks in 12th Science with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, and valid JEE Main/MHTCET scores. Candidates are required to pass 12th standard with minimum 45% marks for the admission into BA LLB course.

For the tentative schedule of admission to the year 2024, the registration is expected to be initiated in the months of November-December, 2023 whereas the written test will be held from January to April, 2024 The GD/PI round will take place in the months of May and June, 2024 The admission counselling is expected to be conducted in the month of June-July, 2024. In order to apply, go to the SSPU admissions, complete the registration form with basic information about oneself, and then sign in. Choose your preferred course, complete the application form where you will be required to enter your personal as well as academic information, and attach other documents where necessary. Make the payment of the application fee and complete the registration process through the online form. However, for more details about the application procedure or if one wishes to use the offline mode of application, they have to download the application form from the website. - The Symbiosis Institute of Architecture offers a 5-year B.Arch programme for which admission is offered based on the candidate’s scores in the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) conducted by SIU or NATA, National Aptitude Test in Architecture.
- To qualify for admission through SET, candidate must posses 10+2 or equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects securing minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- The SET paper checks ability of the candidate by the questions such as Mathematical & Aesthetic Sensitivity, Drawing & Imagination ability, and Logical Reasoning. The test is a two-hour affairs with one hundred objective type questions.
- As per the norms of the Council of Architecture further for admission through NATA eligibility norms, pattern of NATA test, qualifying marks etc shall be applicable.

4. Application Fee: The application fee is Rs 1,000/- or USD 20 or GBP 15 whichever is applicable. It can be paid online along with the application from they have to submit for admission.
5. Application Deadline: It is common for the applications to be available in the period from March to April and the submission deadline is in June or July. It is recommended to visit the official university website to get more detailed information about the exact dates.
6. Selection Process: NATA percentile score add the candidate’s 12th percentile and the candidate is then shortlisted. This is taken after a university level test and interview and before the students are offered admissions.
- It can be noted that Symbiosis International University conducts an entrance test known as SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test), and admission to the course is offered based on merit on this test. Overall, the candidates have to pass the cut-off of the SET exam to become eligible.
- For B.Sc programs, SET score considered is 150 for general category SET and for SC/ST/OBC candidates there is no SET score but they are given 10 marks extra. It is segmented into general ability tests and domain specific area with 75 marks each.
- Candidates who qualify the SET are called for the Personal Interaction & Writing Ability Test round. Performance in this round is also translated into merit score that will all added in the final merit score.
- The final merit list is prepared by the addition of SET score and PIWAT score that has been standardized. Admission is on merit basis, subject to availability in respective courses or program.
- Moreover, there are some other necessary academical requirements that a candidate must fulfill, regarding the 12th standard for the B.Sc program, which the candidate wants to get admission in. Some programs have other prerequisites for entry that should be met by the students before they enter the program.

- As for the admission requirements, a candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from any stream arts, commerce, science stream from any Board.
- In general category candidates minimum percentage required in 10+2 is 55% aggregate percentage . For the candidates coming under the SC/ST category, the minimum percentage required is 50%.
- The admission process to the programs offered by SIT is conducted through the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) conducted by Symbiosis International University. Candidates who clear the online examination shall have to take the Written Analysis & Communication (WAC) test followed by Writing Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interaction (PI).
- Each question in SET is of 1 mark and SET score is determined out of 150 marks. These are sections such as general English, numerical, analysis and logical sections. As per the State Public Service Commission norms, candidates have to secure a least of 40% which is equivalent to 60 marks out of 150.
- WAT and PI are also a part of merit list as these concepts have their weightage in the final merit list. Whereas, the PI measures the student’s interests, cocurricular activities etc., on the other hand, WAT evaluates the language proficiency.
- Finally, after final aggregation of scores, merit list is prepared and the admission is accorded as per the merit, availability of seat in the particular category and the preference of the candidate mentioned at the time of application.
