Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University Distance Education Chennai has several distance learning law courses for its students. The requirement may slightly differ depending on the course offered at the universities. For the 5 year BA LLB program the admission criteria for the candidates are that they should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 45 % marks for the general categories and 40% for the reserved categories. For 3-year integrated LLB program, graduates in any discipline with minimum 45% marks can apply (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates). Allowed standard passing examinations are HSC, PUC, Intermediate, Plus two and any other examination approved by UGC. The LLM programs are possible for the candidates who have completed the LLB degree based on the specializations like Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Rights Law etc. Along with graduation they should have scored minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).
The various distance learning courses and streams include, BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, 3 year LLB, LLM in various specializations such as Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Constitutional Law, etc The admission process for distance learning programs for the academic year 2024 will begin in March 2023. Candidates who wish to join the university have to sit for an entrance exam and fill the application form online or offline. The dates for the exams, how to register for the exams, who is eligible to write the exams etc will be communicated through the official website of the university and through other advertisements. For the successful candidates, there is counseling for the provisional admission according to the merit list, choice filling, category, etc After the classes start in August.

1. Look at the specific requirements that make one qualify for the program in the university’s website or the admission booklet. It is usually a requirement that one possess a bachelor of law degree to stand a chance of being hired.
2. After meeting the above requirements, access the university website and look for the online/offline application form for the Master of Comparative Law program.
3. Carefully complete sections of the application form as they ask for basic personal information, academic results, contact information, etc.\
4. There are other documents that accompany the application form as highlighted in the admission requirements and these should be scanned and attached to the form. This may involve photocopy of 10th, 12th, graduation mark sheets and certificates etc.
5. Pay the application fee through the payment gateway/bank as mentioned above. Retain the payment receipt.
6. Original checked application documents should be rechecked before they are filled to make sure that all information provided is correct.
7. Complete the Master of Comparative Law program application form and submit it with other relevant documents and fees within the indicated deadline. You can submit them online or you can mail hard copies to the said address.
