Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Guwahati is one of the prestigious branches of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences offering courses in social sciences streams. The requirement to obtain a master’s degree, as mentioned above, includes passing a bachelor’s degree in any field with at least 50% marks. For admission into MA in Development Studies and MA in Public Health, the students must write TISSNET or any of the national level tests like CAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA. The Clinical Psychology program accepts TISSNET or UGC-NET qualification.
The wide categories of these programs are: Development Studies, Public Health, Clinical Psychology, Education, Women-Centered Practice, Public Policy & Governance, Applied Psychology, Hospital Administration, and Human Resource Management & Labour Relations. There were other national level tests that were accepted except TISSNET such as CAT, CMAT, GMAT, CEED, UGC NET, GATE and CLAT depending upon the programme.
