Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University also known as TMBU is one of the public university in the state of Bihar and situated at Bhagalpur. It was established in the year 1960, at present TMBU is recognized by University Grants Commission of India and Association of Indian Universities. It has got grade B++ accreditation in the year 2020 by the NAAC. TMBU is placed at 301st position for colleges and universities in India as per NIRF ranking 2023. In this regard the university provides undergraduate, post graduate, and doctorate level programmes in faculties of arts, science, commerce, law education and engineering.
TMBU provides number of courses in different fields like as : BA,BSc,BCom,BEd,LLB,MA,MSc,MCom,MEd,MCA etc. These courses are written and examined in March and October respectively every year. The admission process begins in May-June after the state entrance tests and direct admissions. University admission authorities will soon release key date for admission to the academic year 2024. In order to register, students can either fill the application forms online or by post. Admission for a particular course is truly merit based since the admission is only given after entrance exam results have been released and certainly depending on the availability of space in a particular course.

The annual placement season for the graduates and postgraduates has more than 350+ companies visiting the campus. The average package ranges from 3-4 Lacs Per Annum while the highest package offered is even up to 15 lacs Per Annum. As per the recent year of 2022, 64% of the students got placed in different organizations or companies.
