University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore is one of the oldest and premier institutions of Agricultural sciences in the country. It is an autonomous university that was established in the year 1964, accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.37 and ranked 46 in NIRF India Rankings 2023. University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore has its sprawling campus spread over 1500 acres with faculties offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various disciplines of agriculture and allied sciences.
UAS Bangalore is a University Agriculture Sciences and has four constituent colleges namely: College of Agriculture, College of Agricultural Engineering, College of Forestry and College Veterinary and Animal Sciences. It provides approximately 36 Undergraduate, Postgraduate, PhD and Diploma programs in eight faculties of Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Sericulture, Dairy Science, Food Science, Veterinary and Animal Science. The admission to the UG programs is offered through the Centralized Admission Committee of Karnataka through KEA CET counseling, and the admission to the PG programs is through the PGCET counseling conducted by VTU.

University of Agricultural Sciences Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. 10+2 passed or equivalent examination with science subjects and must have secured at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/Category-I candidates) in the same for admission to Bachelors programs.
2. For the Master’s and PhD programs, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with minimum 50% marks or 45% for the reserved categories.
3. State entrance test result for Master’s and Ph.D. program and in some disciplines they accept the ICAR/GATE qualifying score.
4. No age limit for undergraduate program and postgraduate program up to 28 years of age and 35 years of age respectively for Ph.D. program up to 33 years and 40 years of age respectively for reserved categories.
5. Reduction in the number of marks sought for specialized subject areas and in-service candidates as per the university norms

The University of Agricultural Sciences has a good record for placement of the students every year.
