UAS Raichur Today, the University of Agricultural Sciences Raichur (UAS Raichur) comprises a wide variety of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in different disciplines like Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering, Dairying, Fisheries Science, Home Science, Forestry, Food Technology, etc. Approval of the course differs with departments of the university – Those interested in BSc Agriculture should produce their 12th standard certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Maths and scores above 50% on average. BTech Agricultural Engineering provides 12th pass in Physics, Chemistry, Maths with 45% marks. The aspirants should have completed their 12th standard from any recognized board with minimum 45% marks to be eligible for BSc Home Science. All the UG programs allow students based on national level tests as NEET, KCET, COMEDK etc.
Other University programs such as MSc Agriculture, MBA Agribusiness, MFSc Fisheries Science admitted candidates with bachelor’s degree in related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks for the general category. MTech Agricultural Engineering programme for admission to the course requires passing in BTech Agricultural Engg/ BSc Agriculture Engineering degree. Admission is strictly based on entrance examination for all the PG programmes including PGAT by UAS Raichur, ICAR and GATE. The 2024 admission is expected to be announced in Dec 2023. Students may choose to apply online or use the traditional way of applying. The admission process such as application review, preparation of merit list and counseling will take place in may-July 2024 for PG/ UG programs. This will be in line with the management’s policy of merit, reservation, special categories eligibility and distribution of the available seats among the various departments. - To join M.Tech programmes candidates should have passed B.Tech/B.E. or its equivalent degree in the area of specialization of the subject to be taught.
- Admission is done through merit in the PGCET that is conducted every year by the Karnataka Examination Authority. Candidates also required cutoff marks in PGCET to qualify themselves for the exam.
