Allahabad University is a premier institution that is situated in Allahabad or Prayagraj in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. Here they provide different undergraduate and postgraduate programs across faculties/ schools such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Education, Fine Arts, Management and others. As far as the course structure and the admission procedure is concerned, across the department such as English, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Commerce students must have secured minimum 50% of marks in 12th exam.
University provides numerous programs in all faculties. The general Undergraduate courses are BA, BSc, BCom while postgraduate are MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, LLB, MCA and others. It is expected that the registration for the admission to 2024 batch for the various courses will be conducted in March 2024 on the website of the university. The application of the program entails the completion of the application form, submission of documents and making of the application fee. The University has its own entrance examination normally held in May —June for the first semester and the second semester in October —November. The final list of candidates is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test and the candidates who have been short-listed have to attend counseling sessions. The last merit list declares in July after that classes of new session will commence. :So the major exams dates are entrance test which is conducted in the month of May and June of 2024, Counseling in the month of June and July of 2024 and Admission in the month of July 2024. The following procedures include online registration, entrance test, counseling and admission to provisional seat, and confirmation of admission.

1. Merit List: Admissions are strictly on merit basis using marks obtained in the qualifying examination, which includes 10+2 or its equivalent examination.
2. Pre-arranged / Reserved – These are the seats allocated to the candidates belonging to the respective categories as per government norms such as SC, ST, OBC, PwD etc.
3. Additional entrance Test – Depending on the program/subject, there may be an additional entrance test, in which the candidate’s score in this test is also considered along with the marks obtained in 10+2 examination.
4. Application Form: – This is the major requirement of the candidates where they are supposed to fill the application fee either online or offline mode and submit within the last date.
5. Eligibility Criteria – Concerning the eligibility of the candidates the age limit, the combination of the subjects which are taken in 10+2 etc.

2. For non JU aspirants, under the admission tab, there is a link for UG Admissions.
3. Choose the course that you are interested in to apply for namely B.Sc. When you click on the link the online application form will be displayed in front of you.
4. Ensure that you complete all the necessary sections on the application form including basic personal information, academic information, uploading of documents and so on.
5. Submit the application fees through online payment options such as net banking facility/ATM cum debit/credit card payment or generate an e-challan for cash payment.
6. Once the details have been completed, review and submit the Allahabad University application form. Save/print the confirmation page.

1. Entrance Test: The entry of any candidate in the university is subject to passing an Entrance Test conducted by the university. This test contributes to the total score a massive 75%.
2. Interview: The entrance test result makes the list of candidates who are to be interviewed, and they are called for the interview. The interview accounted for 10% of the overall assessment.
3. Academic Record: The marks/CGPA that one gets in the qualifying examination (B.Sc.) is also an important factor. The academic record attracts 15% of the total score.
4. Final Merit List: Depending on ones performance during the entrance test and interview, as well as academic accomplishment, a merit list is compiled. The merit list comprises candidates who have scored high marks in their exams, and the seats in each institute are distributed according to the ranking of the candidates.
5. Reservations: The reserved category quotas for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates etc. are mentioned according to the government norms in the merit list.
