The University of Hyderabad or UoH is a research university situated in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh but now in Telangana. It was established in 1974, and at present, it is one of the leading research and teaching institutes in India. The University of Hyderabad is affirmed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and awarded NAAC Grade ‘A++’ in the year 2022. In the NIRF Ranking 2023, the University of Hyderabad has been ranked 10th among Indian Universities. 

The programs in each discipline range from graduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in Science, Social Science, Humanities, Management and many other fields. Some of the most sought after courses are: MSc Chemistry, MA Economics, MBA, Integrated MSc Biology, MA English Literature etc. The admission process implies the examination organized by the university and the interview is conducted. Selection is done on merit, national level tests and the reserved categories of candidates as per the government of India norms. Some of the leading recruiters in this field are government segments like ISRO, DRDO, and various private sectors like Deloitte, KPMG, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, etc. The maximum off-campus placement salary stood at INR 32.4 LPA and the median placement salary was INR 6.2 LPA in 2022. More than 80 percent of the students got selected in different companies like IT consulting, Banking and Financial service industries, Analytics and many more reputed firms, The placement and internship cell provide coaching in form of mock interviews and different rounds of recruitment and other selection processes.

There were great placements in various companies for the students of the University of Hyderabad in the session 2021-22. The employment record of the above organizations reflects the fact that out of 550 organizations taking part in campus placements, 89.2% of the eligible students were placed. Some of the companies that have visited the campus include Microsoft, Amazon.com, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, Infosys Technologies Ltd, Wipro Technologies Ltd etc. The maximum salary offered was Rs 32,00,000 by a Global Bank and the average salary was Rs 8,20,000 per annum offered by Infosys. Public sector undertakings were chosen by about 30 percent of the total students due to their satisfactory remunerations. To ensure that maximum students get placed in their desired companies, the placement cell arranged workshops and personality development sessions with the experts from the industry. All in all, the entire process of placements for graduates of University of Hyderabad was very rewarding.
