Valliammai Polytechnic College is one of the engineering colleges situated in Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu. These 3 and 4 year diploma programs examinations are conducted in April every year by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Tamil Nadu. This policy note also informs the opening dates for admission for the 2024 academic session through single window counseling process with reference to marks scored in tenth standard in May 2023. The placement cell of Valliammai Polytechnic provides job openings for the final year students in top organizations. Some of the major recruiters include Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, L&T and IBM among the Fortune 500 companies. More than 85% of the eligible students got placement in reputed organizations with average packages of Rs 3 LPA for IT students and 3.5 LPA for the core engineering students. The highest pay scale given was 6 LPA. It has excellent placement records and therefore it is well-connected to the industries having strong associations with the institute.
1. For diploma programs, the candidates should have passed the 10th standard or any other equivalent examination recognized by a board. Even the students who have passed their 11th or 12th class can also apply.
2. Any age is acceptable for pursuing diploma programs though the normal age should be between seventeen and thirty two years. It remains open for both the fresher as well the experienced candidates depending upon their qualifications.
3. For admission in a specific branch of engineering diploma, candidates should have passed 10th standard exams with required set of subjects. For instance, Mathematics is required for enrollment in Civil Engineering diploma program.
4. For SC/ST/OBC students, who want to avail benefits, they have to submit their caste certificates at the time of admission. PWD candidates also needs to have a valid disability certificate.
5. The admission application forms can be downloaded from the college website or can be collected from the college office by paying the admission fees. Applicants have to complete all their academic information and documents.
6. Candidates are usually selected through a process of merit and this is usually determined by their performance in the qualifying examination. For the unoccupied seats, direct admission is allowed on a first-come, first-served basis.
