Veer Kunwar Singh University, also known as VKSU, is a state university found in Arrah, Bihar. It was started in 1992 and is UGC recognized and has been conferred grade B by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). According to NIRF 2023 ranking, the VKSU falls in the category of band of 101-150 universities in India.
The university is a teaching institution that provides education to its clientele at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in various fields including arts, science, commerce, law, education, engineering among others. Veer Kunwar Singh University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidates should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum percentage as per the course type. The percentage required is usually around 50% for the General merit category and 45% for categories that are reserved for the SC/ST.
2. For undergraduate programs, candidates have to pass in 10+2 exam in relevant stream. In Commerce, Arts programs any stream is allowed. For Science and Computer programs, the students should have completed their 10+2 through Science stream.
3. The candidates who wish to enroll in postgraduate programs should have obtained a relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with the minimum aggregate percentage as specified for the particular program. In general category 50-55% for SC/STs 5% relaxation for Physics and Mathematics in degree.
4. For SC/ST candidates, 5% of the eligibility marks can be relaxed. Another advantage for other reserved class as per the government rules and regulations.
5. Final year graduates aspiring to work in the relevant field may apply. However, the admission will be granted provisionally only if the student secures the minimum desired percentage as per the final result.
6. Other qualifying requirements such as the entrance test scores, any courses that may be required based on the program if and when required, will be as stated in the Prospectus or Admission Notification of the program in question.
