Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R and D Institute of Science And Technology Chennai provides full time campus programmes in engineering, technology, sciences, management, architecture and planning, allied health sciences, applied and basic sciences and humanities. Some of the well known courses are B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA, Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Nano Technology, Animation and Multimedia, Bio Medical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics & Automation, Management Courses MBA and BBA, B.Sc and M.Sc, B.Des and M.Des etc.
The application process usually begins in January for the following year’s intake. Accepted standard entrance tests are JEE Main for B.Tech and MBA, SAT for UG management courses, GATE, CAT, MAT for M.Tech and MBA respectively. Candidates who make it to the final list of the counselling sessions have to undergo counseling sessions conducted between April to August depending on the availability of seats and the opening of the course. The new academic session starts in August/September of each year for all the degree programmes in the university.

Documents Required for Admission in VEL TECH Chennai for Different Courses:
1. Applicants must have completed 12th standard (HSC) or equivalent with recognized board.

- Minimum passed marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are 45% for general category and 40% for SC/ST category individually.
3. Other students who have a valid score in JEE Main can also get admissions depending on their percentile score and the cut off fixed by the institution.
4. Students who passed any diploma examinations in any recognized institutions can apply for the lateral entry to the second year of the engineering programs provided they meet the set cut-off of the institute.

3. Select the B.Tech course of your preference and click on the ‘Apply Now’ button
4. Build login and complete online application form
5. Apply for a license and pay fees and upload related documents online
6. To complete the process, the following details need to be entered and submitted: Name, Date of Birth, Address, Gender, Parent/Guardian Name, Phone Number, E-mail, Relationship to Student, Guardian’s Phone Number, E-mail and finally click on the ‘Submit Form’ button and the ‘Print Acknowledgement’ button.
