- VIT has its own engineering entrance exam which is known as VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) for admission into the B.Tech programs. To get admission in this institute, a candidate has to take VITEEE and then qualify the examination.
- However, the entrance examination is not the only way to get admission; it is also possible through merit of the 12th standard board. Physics, chemistry and mathematics must be taken as subjects and each candidate is required to obtain a certain percentage to qualify for admission.
- The VITEEE 2024 exam date is not yet mentioned on the official website as of now. It normally occurs during April-May each year.
- The next process after the VITEEE exam is that the candidates who are shortlisted attend counseling sessions where they enter their branch/ quota preferences according to their rank/merit. Vis-a-vis seat allotment it depends on the availability of the particular seat.

7. After completing the application form, you will be able to download the application form of record with the application number.
8. Wait for VIT to announce shortlisted candidates for your course and to do this, you should visit the official website to check on your application.
9. In case, the candidate is offered admission then get yourself register by paying the admission fees and submit documents if any required within the stipulated period of time.
- It has a separate entrance called VITEEE, conducted by VIT University to which admissions are given based on the scores obtained. For the position of candidates, there is a requirement to write this exam first.
- Depending on the VITEEE ranks the students are admitted to the college and the students are asked to fill in their preferences of branch. After that, the students secure their seat in the chosen college through a process called counselling.
- The basic eligibility requirement for admission into its various courses is 60 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th board exams. The pass mark is generally set at 50% for all the exams, though relaxation up to 5% is allowed in some circumstances.

- Application Process: Generally, admissions to M.Sc programs at VIT start from March-April, for the academic year July/August.
- Eligibility Criteria: The admission requirement requires the candidate to possess 10+2+3 pattern of education and a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50-60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. In accordance with the government rules and regulations, concession in fees may be allowed in the case of reserved category students for relaxation.
- Entrance Exams: Another important University that conducts its own entrance examination is VIT University which offers engineering programs and examines the students through VITEEE. For M.Sc admission however they are offered through a number of examinations like JAM, GATE, TANCET etc and the scores obtained in the said exams along with counselling helps students to find their admission and scholarship tenability.
- Seat Availability: M.Sc. program generally takes two years to complete and the number of seats varies according to the chosen specialization. For instance, general subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, etc are likely to have about 30 seats while programmes of specializations are likely to intake few students.
- Fees: The cost of the VIT’s M.Sc programs may range between Rs 1.25 – Rs 2 lakhs per annum for the tuition fees. Hostel accommodation and other incidental charges are charges in addition to these. Financial discounts such as scholarships can help lower the effective fees.
- The admission process is competitive and requires a candidate to sit for an examination, which is used to determine their performance in the qualifying examination.
- To pursue M.Sc degree, candidates are required to have passed the relevant Bachelor’s degree such as B.Sc with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

3. Visit the official website of the institute and register yourself with the help of a valid email address and phone number. After registration, you need to fill up the online application form where you have to give all your and your academic details such as your personal details, academics details, the score you got in the entrance exam etc. Make sure that you fill the application form completely and accurately.

9. If you have been selected, then, you have to follow the admission process within the given time frame mentioned below. Pay the necessary fees and submit all documents and other requirements according to the guidelines.
- This means that if you are planning on transferring, you need to apply around January- February 2024 for the June/July 2024 academic year. It is not yet determined as to the exact dates that when it will be implemented.
- The selection procedure includes the scores achieved in the national/state level tests such as CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT and VITMEE – the entrance examination conducted by the University for admission to various management programs.
- Candidates who clear the written test have to come for the final round where they are interviewed either in a Personal Interview or Group Discussion round.
- At present, the B-school is authorized to admit about 180 MBA students in various specializations; the numbers can be a little different for each year.
- Fees is around rs. 6.2 For the full course of two years, they are charged fifty thousand for the first year and fifty-five thousand for the second year making it 5 lakhs in total. It should be noted that it is possible to pay fees on a semester basis if anyone wishes to do so. There are also scholarships that are given depending with merit as well as the category the candidate falls under.
- VIT Vellore also offers MBA programmes with different specializations in Marketing, Finance, HR, Systems, Retail Management etc.. Both full-time and part time MBA programmes are available.
- MBA applicants are admitted to join the program based on their performance in the VITMEE entrance test organized by VIT University. The cut-off marks have to be cleared in the VITMEE to make it through to the next process in the admission procedure.
- In addition to their scores on VITMEE, candidates’ previous academic performance is considered which include marks/grades in 10th, 12th & undergraduate exams.
- Working experience has a weight if the candidate if the candidate has full time working experience of not less than one year. Job experience is important while applying for MBA and preference is given to those candidates who have worked in the field of their interest.
- Shortlisting is done in terms of the following parameters that include VITMEE, academic performance, and work experience in case of any. The candidates then have to undergo a round which is called the Personal Interview round to be a part of the shortlist.
- The final list of selected candidates will be compiled on the basis of aggregate performance of the candidates in the written test, their academic performance, work experience and performance in the personal interview. Plans for taking admission are available for students who are successful in getting the cut-off set by the MBA admission committee at VIT Vellore.

2. Choose the type of MBA you wish to enrol for, whether full time, part time, executive MBA etc. to name but a few, and then ensure that you qualify for this program as indicated by VIT in terms of the requirements for admission which may include academic background, scores in entrance exams etc.
3. Online application - VIT has an online application form, which is available on the official website of the university For filling the form, basic details like personal details, qualification details, work experience, etc. are to be provided and then the soft copy of all the required documents has to be uploaded.
4. You need to remit the application fee online which lies in the range of Rs. 1000/.
5. The completed application form along with supporting documents should be submitted by the given dates. This comprises documents in printed form such as; the mark sheets of academic programs, entrance test scores, letters of recommendation among others.
6. If selected, appear for the Group Discussion/Personal Interview rounds. The university will then proceed to update all qualified candidates on other processes of admission such as counselling, payment of fees, verification of documents and so on.
7. Currently, to affirm an admission, one pays school fees in line with the schedule, submits original documents, and joins the school on the specified date.
