Vikrama Simhapuri University is a public university in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh established in 2008, in the city of Nellore. It has been approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has been accredited grade ‘B’ by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.62 and it was ranked at 157 th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking-2023 for Universities in India.
The university provides different Undergraduate, Post graduate and PhD programs in various faculties of Arts, Science, Education, Law, Management and Computer Applications. Some of the popular courses offered are B.A, B.Com., B.Sc., B.B.A, M.B.A, M.C.A, M.A, M.Sc., M.Com. The admissions for these programs are through entrance examinations at national or state level or on merit basis in the qualifying examination. It normally takes two months for the entire process starting from May every year for the programs that begin in July/August.

Vikrama Simhapuri University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with minimum 45 to 50% marks depending on the course.
2. For the PG programs the candidate needs to have the relevant Bachelor degree with at least 45-55% marks depending on the course again according to the particular course.
3. The minimum percentage of the seats to be reserved for the SC, ST, OBC, and the EWS candidates as per the government guidelines.
4. Some of the concessions that are provided in this context include reduction in percentage of qualifying exam marks for candidates belonging to the reserved category as per norms.
5. No upper age limit for UG programmes; For PG programmes, maximum age 30 years as on 31st July of the year of admission.
6. University has its own admission test for some courses while for other courses admissions are granted based on the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination.
