WUD Sonepat is among the private institutions in the country which aims to deliver programs in different fields of arts and design at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The major centers of learning at WUD Sonepat are Fashion Design, Product design, Transport design, Interior design, Communication design, Architecture & planning, Design Management and Liberal arts.
The eligibility is also determined by departments; this is because it may have different measures across departments. For B.Des programs, the candidates should have 12th or equivalent qualifying examination with an aggregate of 50% marks in any stream. It has admission facilities for the national level design aptitude tests such as NID/NIFT, WUDDAT from the university itself. Candidates should have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Maths for B.Arch and the minimum percentage required for it is 50%. They use the scores in NATA Admission test to admit students into the program. For admission in M.Des, One must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in design or any of the equivalent fields with minimum 50% marks. M.Plan requires B.Arch/B.Planning degree. The PG programs admit students based on scores secured in national exams such as CEED/GPAT, or the university’s own PGEE.

The application process begins during the year end, precisely in December of each calendar year. Aptitude tests on designs are held during February to April whereas university examinations take place in May to June. The steps include registration, taking some entrance tests, undertaking situation test/interview, announcement of merit list and finally, admission. It has three semesters in an academic session and the session starts from the month of August. 4. Selection Process: The candidates who applied for the above positions will be required to present their portfolio and face an interview. The shortlist for the final selection will be prepared based on the academic performance; NATA scores, portfolio and interview.
5. Application Deadline: The closing date for submissions of B.Arch forms are normally in July/August for the August academic year. It is advisable to check this with the university’s website prior to applying.
6. Tuition Fees: The fees for the whole B.Arch course which spans 5 years is about 8 to 10 lakhs INR.
