CMR Group of Institutions provide full-time campus programs such as B.Tech, M.Tech MBA, BBA, BA, BCom, BCA, MCA, BSc, MSc, BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Des, M.Des, and PhD. The TS EAMCET is scheduled to be conducted in May 2024 and the AP EAMCET is conducted in April 2024. For NATA, dates are the first weeks of April, July 2024. The KCET is slated for May 2024. The process of admission involves application form submission online, payment of the fee, document scan and submission, and entrance test if any, counselling and joining. The selection criteria involve the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria, the entrance examination ranks if applicable, and the performance of the candidate during group discussion or personal interview during counselling. These programs are opened in August-September 2024 for the start of the session.
The admission process of the CMR Group of Institutions, Hyderabad is online as well as offline for the students who are willing to enroll for the different courses that are offered in this institution. The University offers online application for admission you can access the University website at www.cmr.ac.in and navigate to the ‘Admission’ link. Choose your preferred course out of Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, etc. After that, begin with entering the application form by keying in your name, date of birth, email address, contact number and marks obtained. Such photographs and documents to be scanned and uploaded should include passport size photographs and any other necessary documents. In addition to this, the application fee can be paid online using credit/debit card or through Net banking /UPI.
In case of offline application, you can obtain the application form from the admission office of the CMR Group of Institutions Hyderabad situated at Kandlakoya Medchal road. As a matter of procedure, adequately complete the application form with details such as personal information, academic background, course of application and other details as required. Candidates are required to submit attested photocopies of grade certificates/testimonials also two photographs. The filled-in application should be submitted to the admission office in person along with the application and processing charges which can be made in the form of DD demand draft made on CMR Group of Institutions Hyderabad only. It is even possible to join through management quota or on the basis of merit in the entrance tests like JEE Main, TS EAMCET etc.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
- The possibility of entrance through direct admission is rare while admission through management quota and other entrance exams like TS EAMCET is common. Candidates should have passed class 12 with physics, chemistry and biology or maths as subjects.
- As with many programs, the application process is often conducted several months prior to the academic year for which the student is applying. These applications are usually put online on the university’s website.
- Some of the important links which can be updated by the university for the admission season of 2024 include; The availability of seats, the eligibility criteria, the date to submit an application, and the admission test in 2024 may be released by the university in 2023.
- Admission can be through GPAT or any other national level Pharmacy entrance test or through the entrance test conducted by the Telangana State government for Pharmacy distance education i.e., TSPGECET.
- As for the admission process where students are admitted based on GPAT scores, CMR College does not specify any different cutoff or eligibility. The minimum qualifying cutoff for the GPAT qualifying examination has been declared by NTA only.
- The candidates who want to seek admission through TSPGECET should have appeared for 10+2 or its equivalent examination to passed with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics subjects. The subjects mentioned above make it mandatory for the candidate to secure a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
- The TSPGECET merit list is short listed from the list based on the following parameters like counseling, preferences of the candidate filled at the time of admission control, availability of seats, and the reservation policies etc.
- There are other requirements as to domicile status of a candidate to be deemed local or non-local in connection with the Telangana state quotas.
- Apart from strictly passing in the entrance examination, it is mandatory for students to pass through an interview conducted by CMR College before being considered for admission.
- The admission procedure of B.Tech at CMR usually begins in the month of March for the session commencing in July/ August. For the admissions cycle of 2024, the application process should be expected to commence in March 2023.
- Any student interested in B.Tech must have passed 12th standard with the main subjects being Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 12th board examination pass with minimum 60% overall percentage (45% for SC/ST).
- The admission process in CMR is highly competitive and depends on the entrance tests conducted at the state/national level such as JEE Main, EAMCET, etc. CMR offers admission based on the relative ranking of the candidates.
- CMR provides B.Tech in various fields including Computer Science, Information Technology Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering and many other fields.
- B.Tech intake is around 900 in all disciplines put together in this institute. Seats are available category wise but not in similar ratio.
- The fees structure is quite affordable with the fee approximately ?1.38 lakhs per annum for all courses. Hostel and mess charges are extra Over and above the tuition fee and other fees determine above there are additional charges that a student has to pay, these are the charges that are incurred in the hostels and mess facilities. It is noteworthy that scholarships can be obtained on merit and/or need basis whereby applicants qualify for the scholarship.
- The admission criteria used is the students aggregate percentage in the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) examination. To gain eligibility one has to pass this examination more specifically the students.
- However, there is also a reservation for intermediate (Class 12) marks as the marks secured for TS EAMCET. Minimum passing marks in intermediate is 45% for OC/BC category and 40% for SC/ST category for qualifying in aggregate.
- In the case of management quota for admission, criteria might be slightly eased but generally, they should have cleared the intermediate exams.
- Besides, the parameters like the category to which the candidates belong, the gender, the region, etc. can be used in case of final call tie-breaker during admission/selection process.
- Accomplishments in sports activities, extracurricular activities are also taken into consideration while admission, particularly for the management quota seats.
- There are defined the separate intake capacities for several types of specialties. The seats are given according to the rank secured in TS EAMCET, choices of colleges given by the students etc.
- It is important for the selected students to provide all the documents that are required as part of admission and pay the tuition fees within the set period of time. If one fails to do this, then the provisional admission can be said to be cancelled.
