Currently, Gateway Education Sonepat provides a range of courses mainly on the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and within such fields as engineering, management, sciences, humanities, etc. Some of the major departments at GU are Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Commerce, Economics, English and Education etc. The course and program requirements required to study in GU may differ from one course to the other, however to study engineering one needs to pass the 12th standard examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main JEE Mains, GATE etc are accepted and all engineering and technology courses are recognized. For BBA/MBA the requirement is that the candidate must have passed class 12th in any stream having minimum 50% marks. Tests such as CAT, MAT, ATMA form part of the selection process. Science department programs require 12th PCM/PCB/PCMB depending on the field of specialization with marks of 50-60%.

It involves essential steps such as online registration and application, taking entrance test, going through counselling for seat distribution and final admission.
For the online application, interested candidates need to log on to the official website of the institute which is www.gatewayeducation.in and the candidates will have to follow the link- ‘Admissions’. Decide on a specific program and complete the online application form to the best of your abilities. Candidates may upload scanned copies of Photograph and Signature as well as other Certificates like Educational Certificates etc. as per the prescribed size. Complete the payment of the application fee online. It is also advisable to take a print out of the completed form for any future use.
To apply for the admission offline, candidate has to visit the Sonepat campus of the Gateway Education with all documents. It is obtained from the admission office by making a cash payment of the necessary fee. Complete and legibly write your information in the form and append genuine copies of certificates. Upon completing the admission application form, attach the processing fee and submit it at the administrative office. It is given on the basis of the guidelines and norms laid down by the institute along with qualifying entrance tests/interviews. Pay the admission fee as a way of confirming one’s admission into the university.
Documents Required for Admission in Gateway Education Sonepat for Different Courses:
- Qualifying Exam: Applicants should possess a pass in 10 plus 2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry as core subjects. This means that the Minimum aggregate percentage required is not a fixed score, but may range from one year to another.
- Entrance Exams: As per the recent admit card update, it is clearly stated that the candidates can apply through their JEE Main score or Haryana State Entrance exams like LEET/UGET. The institute utilizes these scores to develop merit lists.
- Direct Admissions: It also follows a direct admission for B.Tech courses with a requirement of 10+2 scores for a few seats. There are minimum mark requirements that are released each year for eligibility with regard to these examinations.
- Additional criteria: Besides the academic scores, other factors that can come into play during the final selection might include the dates of application, performance during interviews, other achievements such as co-curricular activities among others.
- Er Seat availability and cut off percentage may differ each year based on the admission policies of institutes and specialization.

2. Apply Online : To get the application form, visit the admission section of Gateway Education and search for the online B.Tech. form. Make sure you complete all the information that is needed in the application form accurately.
3. Upload Documents : A part of the online application form will be the upload of scanned copies of documents – photograph, signature, educational certificates, identity proof, entrance examination score card etc.
All relevant and clear copies of the documents should be uploaded.
4. Pay Application Fee : There are certain charges required to be paid at the time of applying for the online application which include a non-refundable application fee charge. Pay the amount through online method only through internet banking, credit / debit cards, UPI or any other payment link.
5. Track Application Status : Record the reference number of your application after making your submission. This number which is usually provided by the online application platform can be used in checking the status of your application among other things such as checking whether your documents have been approved or not.
6. Appear for Counselling: Academic counselling as well as document verification is also done when invited for shortlisting of the candidates. Make sure you are able to attend counselling sessions as per the timetable.
- Entrance exam scores: The colleges and universities take scores of national and state level entrance tests for engineering courses like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, UPSEE, etc.The better the entrance test scores, the better are the chances for admissions.
- As for the admission process in some colleges, they may also require the students to sit for examination or interview. Performance in these can also be discussed and identified.
- Overall academic record: In addition, marks achieved in all subjects in 10th and 12th grades may also be taken into account to measure consistency. They may also occassionally be of minor assistance in extra-curricular activites.

3. Some required documents are upload like Class 12 marksheets, passport photos, etc. as required.
4. Pay online for the application fee or through e-challan.
5. Finally, click on the submit button for the form, and the acknowledgement should then be printed.
6. For the status of the application or any communication about merit list or counselling round dates, check the website or wait for an email on the registered email id.
7. For the counselling join as per the appointed date and time and for the interview to confirm the admission.
