Indira Gandhi Engineering College is an autonomous college which was established in the field of engineering at Mohali, Punjab. As a result, the institute was established in 2007 and is approved by the AICTE and affiliated to IK Gujral Punjab Technical University. It has been accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade and IGEC has been established with the following objectives. The NIRF Rankings 2023 for engineering colleges has been released, and according to it, IGEC has secured the 98 position. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs are provided in various domains in engineering by the institute.
The institute awards B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. B.Tech programs in this university are offered through admission from JEE Main exams. Masters in technology degree is also provided by IGEC in various fields. The admission to the M.Tech programs in institutes is done on the basis of GATE score only. B.Tech and M.Tech Application Deadlines The application deadline for the B.Tech and M.Tech programs for the batch 2024-25 is June 30, 2024. University examination is normally administered in November – December and April – May for semesters respectively.
