This paper focuses on Madhav Institute of Technology and Science popularly known as MITS, is a technical and science education institution situated in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. MITS, in its present form, was established in 1957 and is an autonomous institute recognised by RGPV University and approved by AICTE. Established in 1982 MITS boast of a vast area of 300 acres with undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, pharmacy, management and computer application. It has been accredited by NAAC and the institution has received grade ‘A’, which speaks volumes about the quality of education imparted to the students. For NIRF rankings of the year 2023, MITS got the position 75 among engineering colleges across India.

It provides the B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Civilengineering and MCA and MBA programmes. The admission process for UG, PG courses involves written examination in the form of national or state level entrance examination such as JEE Main, GATE etc The examination dates are planned between February and June by the concerned authority. The next step involves the candidates who get selected attending counseling sessions conducted by the DTE or the MITS so as to be placed in their most preferred course and college. The admission for the batch of 2024 is likely to begin from March 2023 onward for the various programs offered by the university.

Madhav Institute of Technology and Science Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate along with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects provided that they must have taken any one of the subjects Biology, Bio-technology, Computer Science or Biology as an optional subject also.

2. For B.Tech Programs, Candidates should have obtained 60% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination (55% marks in case of SC/ST Category). 

3. For M.Tech and M.Sc. admissions, candidate should have passed B.Tech, B.E., or B.Sc., in relevant specialization from any University with minimum of 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) in aggregate.

4. Finally, the candidates who are studying their final 10+2 exam or bachelors’ degree can apply for admission but they will have to produce the finals marks sheet before joining the institution.

5. Admission to the B.Tech program requires that the applicant must have sat for and passed the JEE Main exam. A candidate applying for M.Tech programme shall be admitted through GATE score and Counseling.
