It has a wide faculty offering an array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Management, computer applications, commerce, Science, Arts, Law, Engineering, Pharmacy and Design. BBA, BCA, B.Com, BA, B.Sc, LLB, B.Tech, B.Pharm, and B.Des are some of the most requested programs. The eligibility criterion depends upon the stream of the particular department – For the BBA course it is 50% in 12th, for BCA course 12th passed with Mathematics, for B.Com course it is commerce stream 12th passed with minimum 45% marks, For the BA course it is minimum 12th passed and for the B.Sc course it is Science stream 12th passed with minimum 45% marks. Some of the known examinations include CET, JEE Main, MHT CET are acknowledged by the engineering departments while the MAH CET LAW is required for the LLB course.
For the session 2024, the Indira Group of Institutes has following schedule for admissions process – Application are open from May 2023 CET exam will be held in June-July 2023, MAH MBA CET exam will be conducted in Aug 2023, MAH LLB exams will be in Oct 2023. The counselling event takes place between the months of July and October in the year 2023. Entrance tests – As required by the desired university, the candidate would fill an application form, sit for entrance tests if any, attend counselling sessions for provisional seat allotment, pay fees and finally get confirmed for the admission. If there are still some openings available after the completion of the current academic year and before the commencing of the academic year 2024, then more rounds of spot admission can be conducted as well. Students can apply both via the web and through face-to-face mode.
Indira Group of Institutes Pune has a relatively easy process of admission for its students. Students can apply for admissions either through the online mode available in the official website of the college ie www.indiraedu.com or they can get the application form from the college campus.
For online applying, one has to go to the admission link and fill in all the particulars like personal details, academic background, the course for which one is applying etc and submit the filled up application form duly accompanied with soft copies of the documents as listed in the check list. There may also be an application fee which also needs to be paid online.
Documents Required for Admission in IGI Pune for Different Courses:
- Applicants must be graduates from a recognized university with not less than the equivalent of a second class lower division degree.
- Admission process is on merit in national level management entrance examination like CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT, written test conducted by IGI Pune and Personal interview.
- The short listed candidates are given an opportunity to attend a Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI which is 50% total assessment.
- The remaining 50% weightage is attributable to the performance in CAT, XAT etc… or the academic performance in graduation.
- Working experience if any is also taken into consideration while selecting candidates for different positions.
- The final merit list is calculated by adding the marks obtained in the entrance test, academic profile, GD/PI performance, and the weightage for work experience as assigned during the examination.
1. Prospective students should log onto the official IGI Pune website and click on the admissions page. You may look for the online application form for the PGDM program.
2. Go to the application form, first, you need to register on the site and then proceed to complete the necessary questions. You are going to give some information about yourself such as your personal information, academic achievements, if you have worked somewhere previously then you will have to mention that as well.
3. This section involves scanning and uploading of documents such as marksheets of graduation, entrance test if any, passport size photographs and any other documents required.
4. Payment of application fee should be made online through the payment gateway. The application fee is commonly about Rs 1000, though it varies depending on the university and course.
5. After completing the required fields and paying the PGDM application fee you need to finalize your application and submit the PGDM application form. It is always important to go over it before it is submitted for review.
6. The reason for this is because, after applying, you can monitor the processing status of your application with the credentials that were provided during registration.
7. When the candidates are selected for the next level, the candidate will be selected for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview sessions.
8. Join the GDPI process if required and if selected then you can complete the admission procedure after receiving the offer letter from the institution.
1. It is an exam based university that offers admissions to only those candidates who secure good ranks in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) examination. In addition, to qualify in NATA, candidates have to secure the set cutoff marks offered by IGI Pune.
2. For candidates belonging to Maharashtra state there is specific entrance test namely Maharashtra Architecture Common Entrance Test Cell (MACT). They also need to clear the MACT exam with required percentage for IGI Pune.
3. Apart from the NATA / MAAT scores, the candidates need to clear their class 12 or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics stream with minimum aggregate percentage as prescribed by the Institute.
4. The candidates shortlisted have to write a test at the Studio organized by IGI Pune to join the company later. It challenges the candidate creatively and as a workers.
5. The final merit list is based on 40% weight for the normalized marks obtained in NATA/MACT exam, 30% weight for the normalized aggregate marks of Class 12 and 30% weight for the normalized Studio Test. Distribution of marks in final scores will be clearly in accordance with the IGI Pune admission rules of weightage of each component set for each year.
