JUT or Jharkhand University of Technology has undergraduate or postgraduate courses including engineering, management, computer applications, and others like pharmacy located in Ranchi. The eligibility criterion differs from that of other departments. The pass criteria of 12th is mandatory for Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil engineering Btech programs for students must have obtained 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. For MBA, candidates need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks. The BPharm program has the minimum eligibility criteria of 50% marks in 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The MCA program does not have any restrictions on graduation and the student only needs to have Mathematics in 12th Standard. For admission into the different programmes of the University, the University accepts national level examinations such as JEE Main, GATE, CAT and MAT.

The faculties that are favourites for the students in JUT are Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering Information Technology and Pharmacy. The admission procedure is different according to the department and the program that is being opted for, but all the courses demand the candidate to pass the 12th standard in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and secure over 50 percent aggregate from a recognized board. JUT also recognizes National level entrance examination such as JEE Main and the JAC Delhi test scores for admission to B.Tech program.
