K J Somaiya Institute of Management (SIMSR) Mumbai was established in 1981 and is one of the most reputed B Schools of India. The institutes are approved by AICTE and affiliated to the Government of Maharashtra. It is noted that SIMSR Mumbai has got NAAC accreditation with ‘A’ Grade with 3.23 cummulative Grade Point Average. In the latest NIRF Rankings 2023, SIMSR Mumbai stands 75th among managements in India. 

SIMSR Mumbai is a 2year full time Master of Management Studies (MMS) degree with the field options like Marketing, Finance, Operation, Human Resource, IT and International Business. It also runs the PGDM program which is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The other admission process to take place is the one for the 2024 students’ batch which is expected to commence in January 2024. Contenders are selected on CAT/XAT scores to undergo WAT, GD and finally PI rounds in different centres across the nation.  

SIMSR Mumbai has very good placement track record in consulting, Fast moving consumer goods, banking and financial services, E- commerce and Manufacturing firms have been known to recruit from the students. Some of the major recruiters are ICICI Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Deloitte Haskins & Sells, PwC, Nestle, ITC, Asian Paints, etc The median pay package for the 2023-24 batch is 11.2 LPA while the highest pay package is 32 LPA.
