M S Engineering College is a self financing engineering college in Bangalore Karnataka which is established in the year of 1997. It was founded in 1979 and it is accredited by AICTE and NAAC and the college holds an ‘A’ grade. It is also approved by the Government of Karnataka, and hence students who complete the college can seek their certificate from the government. According to the NIRF rankings that were just released and for the year 2023, M S Engineering College has been ranked 65 for engineering colleges in India.
The institute imparts education, research and training at the undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral level in a plethora of engineering disciplines including Computer Science and information science, Mechanical and civil, Electronics and electrical. The most sought after undergraduate courses include, BTech in Computer Science and Information Science, Mechanical and Civil engineering with an intake of 60 students per program branch. Some of the postgraduate programmes that are offered include Master of Technology- MTech and Master of Computer Applications- MCA with the total intake capacities of 18 and 24 students respectively. These are taken in the month of November and May at the end of the respective semesters: Admission to the BTech programs is done based on the merit in Karnataka CET test and marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th examination. The candidates seeking admissions into MTech and MCA are admitted through PGCET entrance test and NIMCET respectively, after counselling.
