Manipal University, MIT Manipal is one of the renowned engineering and technology universities providing undergraduate and post graduate programs in different fields of technology. MIT Manipal offered the following BTech programs: Computer Science & Engineering Information Technology Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Electrical & Electronics Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering Chemical Engineering Biotechnology Industrial & Production Engineering. The conditions of entry to the BTech programmes specify that the student should pass 12th board examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics as the major subjects. Apart from the stated requirement, students have to also write exams such as the Manipal Entrance Test (MET), JEE Main, KCET among others conducted by MIT Manipal with certain cut off marks for the respective departments.
MIT Manipal offers postgraduate streams such as MTech, MS, MSc, and MBA courses under engineering, faculty of life sciences and health sciences, faculty of management and commerce. The MTech programs specialize in fields of engineering such as Structural Engineering, Digital Communication, Biomedical Signal Processing etc. The MS programs include subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics etc. The other courses that are offered at the PG level are Biotechnology, Data Science, Environmental Sciences and MCA. For PG admissions, students need to clear their graduation in relevant stream and also appear in MET, GATE, CAT, GMAT etc as per the requirements of the program they are interested in. Usually, the application is open for admission of 2024 batches in the month of October in the subsequent year. Entrance tests will be organized from January to May 2024. The admission process includes online application and appearing for the entrance tests, personal interview rounds, and selection based on meritorious scores.

- The university conducts admission through entrance exams and also considers the marks obtained in the 10+2/equivalent examination. A candidate must have scored at least 60% of the total marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or equivalent CGPA.
- Application is then filtered and shortlisted as per merit Allotting weightage for merit calculation, 60% to the entrance exam & 40% to 10+2/equivalent.
- The selection of the candidates is mainly on merit rank basis and the choices exercised by the candidate during counselling and also the availability of the seats in different programs.
- Admissions are granted with respect to the quotas and reservations as per the rules and regulations of the state or the national government.

1. Registration: The candidates will have to download the admission application form from the MIT Manipal website and enter their details to get an application ID.
2. Application Form: Then, launch a browser and visit the website of the company where you want to work, then, proceed to the application form where you should input all the required information. Ensure you give information such as scores, personal information etc. correctly coupled with the desired program etc.
3. Upload Documents: Once the form is filled, the candidate has to upload required documents like a passport photograph, identity proof, Class X and XII certificates/marksheets, entrance test scores etc. depending upon the procedure prescribed.
4. Application Fee Payment: The application fee can be paid online through such payment options such as credit card, debit card as well as net banking. Keep the payment receipt.

1. First of all, they should pass the National/State level entrance exam like JEE Mains, KCET, COMEDK etc The minimum qualifying marks depend on every year’s situation based on their level of toughness and number of candidates appeared for the exam.
2. Depending on their performance in the entrance test various candidates are called for counselling session where documentary evidence are produced. Therefore, if qualified, the candidates are required to pay the tuition fees on the spot to reserve a place.
3. For admission through management quota, the candidates who passed board of 12th standard with minimum 50 % in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can directly apply for the institution with higher fees without any entrance exam.
4. MIT Manipal also gives weightage to the Merit list from class 12th board examination provided the applicants have minimum 60% aggregate in PCM subjects. Applicants on the short list will undergo an interview before being selected.
