The CTET abbreviated for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test is the test that is organized by the CBSE, the basic purpose of this examination is to test the eligibility of the candidate for teaching in the Central Board of Secondary Education Schools. It is noteworthy that the stated goal of the CTET is to enhance teaching quality in schools of India through certification of aspiring teachers based on their knowledge, skills, and aptitude for teaching. It has two papers; Paper I for those who want to teach classes 1 to 5 and Paper II for those to teach classes 6 to 8.
Some of the subjects that are covered by the CTET exam are child development and pedagogy, language ability, comprehension, number ability, educational environment etc. The test is of objective type and consists of multiple choice questions. The CTET shall be conducted in compliance with the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation of Seats) Act, 2012, and rules made thereunder, and to be eligible, the general category candidates must obtain at least 60% marks and the reserved category candidates must obtain minimum 55% marks. The CTET certificate remains valid for 7 years for those who have passed the examination. About more than 20 lakh aspirants appear for the CTET examination every year and it is conducted in two sessions in different languages.

6. Since the admit card contains the photograph of the candidate affixed on it, it is advised to download and take the print out of the admit card.
