Acharya Nagarjuna University,(ANU) located in Guntur is a university level board which provides various undergraduate and post graduate courses in Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering and many other fields. An individual’s eligibility depends on several factors such as the department and course of their options. The admission criteria vary from course to course but for undergraduate programs in science known as B.Sc, the candidate should have passed 12th standard with science and minimum 50% marks. For BA courses, candidates must pass their 12th standard with any stream having minimum of 45% marks. B.Com program is most suitable for students who have completed their 12th commerce stream with at least 50% marks. For engineering one needs to be 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry and Math and should have secured minimum 60% marks. The 12th standard pass with minimum 60% marks in biology/math subjects is required for medical and agricultural courses respectively. Besides, it considers JEE Main, GATE and other national level examinations also for admission but the qualifying examination scores are also considered for the relevant courses.

To apply for admission, it is helpful to know that there two ways of applying, through the internet application or through the postal service.
In the case of online application, one has to log on to the official website of the university at www.nagarjunauniversity.ac.in and navigate to the ‘Admissions’ link. After choosing the preferred program the candidate needs to sign up on the portal using their name, address, e-mail id, telephone number etc., they need to scan and upload relevant documents, pay the application fee if any online and then submit. When the required data is inputted, it is possible to print the form for further use.

Undergraduate programs ranging from arts, commerce, science, engineering, law, education, computer science, biotechnology and many more are taught in Acharya Nagarjuna University through its several departments. Some of the BSc programs that are provided include – Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and others. The admission requirement for BSc is 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board or university with minimum 50% of marks in aggregate. They should have passed their previous academic year final examination be it AP/TS Inter, CBSE or any other State Board examination. The requirement for BCom is similar to BBA, that is, 10+2 pass with minimum 45% marks with Commerce, Math or Economics stream. S.S.C or equivalent examination of any other recognized board of the country such as AP/TS Intermediate, CBSE, ICSE etc are considered for admission. Undergraduate degrees that are available include English Literature, Economics, History, Political Science, Public Administration, and many others. The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the Course is a pass in 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized Central/State Board. Like BCA and BSW courses also, there is a minimum requirement of 10+2 passed from any stream.
UG The University has numbers of Undergraduate programs in disciplines such as Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Computer Application & Social work. These include the following BSc streams such as the physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany, zoology, and much more. BA category is English Literature, Political Science, Economics, History, Public Administration and so on BCom General and Computers are the other options in Commerce stream.

Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) is one of the universities in Guntur of Andhra Pradesh and the university provides Ph.D programs in all the departments. The requirements that apply to the admission to the PhD program vary by department. For instance, in the Civil Engineering department, candidates possessing ME/MTech in Civil Engineering or any other equivalent qualification and having 60% marks can apply for the post. The qualifying examination for the BET, MAT, ETC, and SET is GATE, UGC NET, SLET respectively. In Chemistry department, for the PhD program, the candidates should have an MSc degree in Chemistry or an allied discipline with at least 55% marks. It is compulsory to appear in any one of the following exams: UGC NET, GATE, and CSIR NET. it offers PhD in other departments such as Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Commerce, Management, English, Economics, and Political Science among others. Though the criteria for eligibility differs in each case most of the Departments consider UGC NET & GATE score for admission.
