Akal University Bathinda - Admission, Courses, Fees & Rankings 2024

Akal University is a private University established at Talwandi Sabo, district Bathinda, Punjab, India. It was set up in 2016 by the act of the Karnataka legislature and is acknowledged by the Government of India, accredited with grade ‘A’ by NAAC and accepted by UGC. While in the Rank 2023 of NIRF, Akal University topped the list of 150 colleges. The campus is more than an hundred acres and has all the necessary facilities and amenities for students.

There are over 200 courses of study in engineering, sciences, arts and humanities, law, agriculture, design, hotel management, applied sciences etc. Popular programs include B Tech, M Tech, BCA, MCA, BBA, MBA, B Com, BA, BSC, MSC, LLB, B.Des. Normally Akal University holds semester exams in November and May of the year respectively. There are two rounds of admissions, the first round commences in December and the students are admitted based on their performance in the national level tests like JEE Main and scores of CAT/MAT followed by counselling. 

The deadlines for applying to all the UG and PG programmes offered under Akal University for the batch of 2024-25 is 30th September 2024. Candidates will be required to sit for the Akal University Entrance Test in October and then qualify for the PI rounds of the admission process to finally receive the provisional admission offers by December 2024.

Akal University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. Should have cleared 10 plus 2 examinations or its equivalent with the minimum 50% marks for the general category and 60% for the BTech category. 

2. A specific entrance test as per program like JEE Main for Bachelor of Technology, CLAT for Bachelor of Laws. 

3. Some Master’s programs require a bachelor’s degree as well a minimum percentage that is required for a certain program. 

4. No age limit.

5. Accredited and, thus, gave Akal University its own entrance test for some courses like BBA and BCA. 

6. There may be other conditions that a candidate should meet to be eligible particularly those from NRI/International.
