AIIMS Nagpur has a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medical science like MBBS, BPTH, BOT, BSc, MSc, MD, MS. Most of the courses have following basic requirements: candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry & Biology and must have Obtained aggregates in each of these subjects as minimum 50-60% depending upon course. Courses in the entrance exam accepted include NEET-UG done for MBBS, NEET PG for MD/MS/MCh , INI CET for super specialty courses, AIIMS PG for DM/MCh/MD (Hospital Administration). The MBBS course is structured upon the fundamental clinical and pre-clinical disciplines that enable students to become competent medical practitioners. The MD/MS courses are three years long with more than thirty specializations and subjects MCh is also a three years course but related to surgical specialties.

The documents required at the time of application and counseling are as follows:
1. Qualifications: The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
2. The maximum age of admittance is 17 years as at the 31st of December of the year of admission. They have relaxed criteria for SC/ST/OBC candidates and it has been relaxed for 5 years.
3. Common test for admission is NEET UG conducted by NTA. Here cutoff marks differ depending on the category that a candidate belongs to.
4. After the NEET examination has been conducted merit list is prepared for admission by the AIIMS, Nagpur.
5. Candidates are called for counseling where verification of documents takes place when issuing shortlist. It might also depend on the availability of the slot, and therefore, the final admission is given based on counseling.
6. This implies that the total time taken to complete the M.B.B.S programme is 4.5 years plus one year of internship.
