Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is a state university in Delhi with central University status. Founded in 2007, AUD is an institution under the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, and is approved by the University Grants Commission. The university has already received an accreditation of ‘A’ grade by NAAC and scored 3.01 on the CGPA scale. NIRF Rankings 2023 were recently declared where AUD was given a rank of 76 among university in India.
Courses: AUD is an undergraduate as well as postgraduate teaching University, which currently teaches in three campuses in Delhi, offering courses in economics, social sciences, humanities, mathematics, design, education studies and many others. Ambedkar University Delhi Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from the recognized board of education and must secured minimum 50% marks.
2. For undergraduate programs, applicants should be below twenty two years of age on the first of August in the year they intend to join the university.
3. To undertake postgraduate studies, the applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
4. The minimum marks required in the bachelor’s degree are between 40-60% depending on the program of study for the students.
5. Concessions in terms of marks are allowed in the respective examination to the candidates of the reserved category as per government norms.
6. University also covers individuals who have worked in relevant field for some programs in their admission requirements. It is administered through entrance assessments and interviews.

Placements in Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) have grown consistently from year to year. The most sought-after employers for the graduates in 2024 included: Ernst & Young, Deloitte, PwC, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Genpact & Tech Mahindra. The maximum salary packages were offered up to Rs 180000 per annum while the average salary packages offered were Rs 65000 per annum. Recruitments are done through the centralized Career Development Services division together with separate schools that deal in placements. More than 75 companies were observed to have participated in placement in 2024 and more than 60% of the students in the eligibility list were placed in sectors like consulting, IT/ITES, education and media and development.
