Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Bengaluru Campus is a deemed private University affiliated to Bengaluru, Karnataka. It was started in the year 2013 and is approved by the University Grants Commission and has got ‘A’ Grade Certification of National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Based on the NIRF ranking system, the Amrita Bengaluru campus is currently ranked at 37 in the entire country among universities.
It has a wide range of programs for undergraduates, post graduates and Doctoral programs in engineering, management, commerce, arts, and science streams. Among the courses offered they include; The b.tech courses include CSE or mechanical, Electrical and electronics engineering and Biotechnology, BBA, MBA and MCA and M.tech & M.sc. The admission process for the admissions of the next academic year, that is, 2024 will begin in February 2023. A student can apply online through the Internet by entering their details in an application form or they can apply offline by downloading the form and sending the filled form. This is followed by the KCET and JEE Mains for admissions and for the management quota CAT/MAT scores are considered after the personal interview. The exams are due to be held in the period March-May 2023.
Amrita Bengaluru has a good track record of placements with many reputed organizations such as Accenture, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, L&T, BOSCH, IBM, HP are some of the premier firms that visit the college. 120 companies visited the campus and the highest salary package offered was Rs 32 LPA while the average salary package offered was Rs 6 LPA, in the placement session of 2022 where more than 92% of the eligible students got selected. The placed students got jobs in IT services, core engineering, consulting, banking, fast moving consumer goods etc. Placements also remain fully secured through special placement training and internships for 100% of the students at the university.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Bengaluru Campus Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. As for eligibility, one needs to clear their 10+2 or it equivalent with PCM/PCB groups with at least 60% of marks. There are also some programs that require the candidate to have a valid rank in the JEE Main exam.
2. For B.Tech lateral entry for diploma holder there is requirement of diploma in engineering in relevant branch with minimum 60% aggregate marks from a recognized university.
3. In the MTech programs, the admissions are offered to the candidates who have completed their BTech/BE degree in the relevant branch securing minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA from any recognized university. They also pointed out that certain specializations require GATE qualification.
4. To get into MBA program, the candidate should have completed bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% in aggregate and also should have a valid CAT/MAT/GMAT/CMAT score. Work experience is preferred.
5. The MCA program has certain admission conditions; the candidate must have a degree in bachelors with mathematics being one of the subjects and the candidate must have secured at least 50% of the total marks. Another requirement is that the candidate must have secured a valid rank in the NIMCET examination.
6. For research programs like MPhil and PhD a pass in the post graduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55% in aggregate along with clearing of the Entrance Tests like UGC/CSIR NET OR SET.
