Mysore Campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has under graduate and post graduate courses in engineering, management, arts and sciences and health sciences. The requirements differ depending on the specific department and course being applied to. For BTech programs such as Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering the requirement is to have cleared 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects with minimum of 60% aggregate marks. The acceptable entrance test includes JEE Main, KCET, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE). For MBA, the eligibility includes a bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and the accepted entrance exams are CAT, MAT, Amrita Entrance Test. The basic requirement for admission in MA English, BA Economics, BSc programs is a pass in 12th standard in the relevant group with 50% marks.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Mysore Campus has several undergraduate programs in engineering, computer applications, sciences, arts & humanities etc. Some of the well-known UG departments at the university are Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) and Mechanical Engineering. The requirement to apply for engineering programs is passing twelfth standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtaining minimum 60% marks. The accepted entrance tests are JEE Mains, KCET and Amrita Entrance Exam (AEEE). BSc offered in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biotechnology and many other disciplines offer admission to candidates with 12th grade pass out in science stream. There are certain course for which 12th grade pass certificate of any stream is enough to get a BA degree; such as English, Economics, Psychology, Journalism.
Some of the main undergraduate courses include the BTech, BE, BSc and BA programs which take 4 years to complete. Some major streams are Engineering (CSE, ECE, Mechanical), Sciences (Math, Physics), BCA/MCA, MSc IT, Arts & Humanities (English, Psychology).
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Mysore Campus is one of the well-known institutes in Karnataka which offers PhD in Engineering, Management, Arts & Sciences and Computer Applications. The eligibility criteria of the post differs from section to section and for the Engineering PhD, the candidate must possess a Master’s degree in the concerned subject with minimum 55% marks along with GATE/NET score. Management disciplines require Master’s degree in respective field with minimum 55% marks and National level Entrance Test. PhD in Arts & Sciences requires postgraduate degree with minimum 55% aggregate, CSIR/UGC NET qualification or SET score. The Computer Applications department recruits ME/MTech/MCA degree holders who secured 60% marks throughout and possess valid GATE score to do PhD. Some of the recognised tests are GATE, UGC NET, CSIR NET, SET.

B.Com programmes at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Mysore Campus are offered in various departments. The eligibility criteria of the B.Com Computer Applications department calls for passing 10+2 examination in any group with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. The following are also accepted qualifying exams: CBSE, ICSE, state boards, NIOS, and IBDP/IGCSE/IB. The B.Com Finance department does not have any specific pre-requisites in terms of 10+2 board but requires 55% aggregate marks in CBSE, ICSE or state boards. Applicants under the International Baccalaureate program must have a score of 28 points and passed mathematics and English. The B.Com courses offered across the general, computer application, finance, accounting and tourism & travel management stream.
