Anand Agricultural University also known as AAU, is a newly established state university situated in Anand, Gujarat. It was founded in the year 2004 and provides Bachelor and Master Degree programs in different fields of agriculture, food processing, dairy, veterinary and fishery. ICAR accredited and UGC recognised university is engaged in offering various academic programmes. NAAC has accredited on 2022, the grade ‘A’ of this University is given below; In the NIRF rankings 2023, AAU stands at position 51 in agricultural universities in India.
The Bachelor’s offered at AAU includes Agricultural Information Technology, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Food Processing Technology, and Horticulture. It also provides postgraduate education in Master’s and Doctorate levels in nearly 30 fields of agricultural sciences. The university uses semester system and offers admission thrice a year through state level common entrance examinations which are held in the month of May/June. Examinations are conducted in the months of October and November and, the results are made known in January.
