Anand Agricultural University offers a number of streams & courses such as: BSc Agriculture, Agricultural Information Technology, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, Renewable Energy, BTech Agriculture Engineering, Food Processing & Technology, BFSc Fisheries Science, BVSc Veterinary Science, MSc in Agriculture disciplines – Agronomy, Plant Pathology etc.
The basic application procedure is initiated in the month of May every year. In the case of UG programs, there are admission policies wherein the students are admitted depending on the merit obtained in the qualifying examination. University conducts a university level exam for PG and PhD admission generally in July and then University conduct counseling. Exams dates and admission schedule are published on the website of the University for the convenience of the students. In sum, AAU provides UG, PG, PhD and diploma courses to train manpower in the field of agriculture and allied activities.

| Minimum Eligibility | 50% marks (for Gen/SEBC) or 45% marks (for SC/ST/PwD) in Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). |
| Entrance Exam | AAU might consider scores from one of the following entrance exams (depending on the program): |

| Selection Basis | Merit list is prepared based on a weightage given to the entrance exam score (if applicable) and marks in the qualifying examination (Class 12). The weightage might vary depending on the specific program. |
| Additional Factors | In case of a tie in the merit list, factors like age preference (as per government norms) or marks in specific subjects (relevant to the program) might be considered for breaking the tie. |
