Awadhesh Pratap Singh University referred to as APSU was established in 2016 which is located in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, India. APSU was authorized by UGC and NAAC accredited it with a B grade. The NIRF rankings for 2023 placed APSU in the 151-200 score band for universities in India.

APSU provides several general and specialist bachelors, masters, doctorate and Ph D programs in sciences, commerce, arts, engineering, education, law and agriculture. Some of the most sought after courses are under graduate courses such as the B.A, B.Com, B.Sc and B.C.A and the post graduate courses such as MBA, M.A, M.Sc, M.Com and integrated courses like B.A LL.B and B.Sc LL.B etc. Universities’ entrance tests or the marks scored in the qualifying examination based on the course are other processes involved in admission. 1. Applicants should have cleared 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks from a recognized board in their respective fields. 

2. In some cases, students should have passed the qualifying exam for the relevant course in the concerned subject of the recognized university.

3. There is provision of providing additional 5% in the pass percentage for candidates of SC/ST categories.

4. Candidates having passed the qualifying examination from other Universities/Boards should have equivalence certificate.  

5. As for the age of the learners, there is no upper limit as to the age of those to be admitted. However, the minimum age for admission is 17 years as on Ist July of the admission year.

6. University also prescribes other conditions that are required to be fulfilled for having eligibility to take admission in certain professional and vocational courses offered by the university.

Some of the leading companies that recruit are Tata Consultancy services, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, which prefer students from engineering, scientific streams and management background. Some of the placement highlights of the institute are that in the placement drive conducted in 2024 more than 60 companies attended and offered placement to 65 percent of the students who were eligible for placement. The maximum offer of the salary was RS 18 lakh per annum by AMEX and minimum offer of the salary ranged between 3.5 to 4 lakh per annum.
