Banasthali Vidyapith is situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan and is affiliated to Rajasthan University offering a broad spectrum of under graduate and post graduate courses in faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Management and many more. These are some departments that are well known, they include; The School of Life Sciences, School of Physical Sciences, School of Chemical Sciences, School of Mathematics and Computational Sciences, School of Computing and Informatics Technology, School of Education, School of Human and Social Sciences, School of Business and Management. The requirements are set by different department and courses – most of the bachelor degree courses requires minimum of 50-60% in class 12th with certain subjects defined by the department offering the course while master degree courses requires the candidate to possess a bachelor degree in the relevant specialization with minimum marks ranging from 50-60%. It caters to the qualifying scores of the National/State level examination like JEE Main, CAT, GATE, CUCET LSAT etc.
Currently the university has over 50 courses in its portfolio that include undergraduate, postgraduate and research. They offer various programs such as BSc Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Microbiology; BA Economics, English, Hindi, History, Psychology, Education; BEd, BBA, BCom; MSc in various science programs; MA in Education, English, Psychology, Economics; MBA, MCA, ME; M.Phil and Ph.D in various areas. The admission process is usually from January and the entrance tests are taken between April and July each year. Based on the current academic year, the possible examination dates are as follows: CU entrance exam is scheduled in the first week of June while Banasthali entrance exam is between 15-30 June of the respective academic year 2024. This includes online registration, writing exams related to the admission, group discussion or interview for the selected candidates and then finally getting through the admission process by paying the fees. In general, the detailed admission notification is made during December- February for the upcoming academic year.
