The Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar is a leading technical and management Institute situated in Kokrajhar, District – Kokrajhar, State – Assam. The university provides diploma, under-graduate and post graduate programs in various departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Processing Technology and Management Studies.
The criteria for eligibility are different depending on the programme. Candidates who have completed their Class 10 and scored minimum 50% in total aggregate of marks in Maths, Science and English are eligible for the diploma courses. For the Admission Requirements for BTech programmes, one should be a pass in class 12 standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with an average percentage of sixty marks or its equivalent examination such as JEE Main, Assam CEE or any other State/ National Level entrance examination. The diploma holders can also directly go for the lateral entry for BTech and take admission in the second year. The basic eligibility criteria to appear for MTech is that one must have a BTech/BE degree in relevant stream with minimum 60% marks.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Photocopy/ scanned copy of any one of the identification documents such as Aadhaar card, voter ID card, or driving license for the purpose of the identification of the applicant.
2. Documents proving the date of birth and passing of class 10 and 12 examinations from a recognized board to forward their applications for the examination should not be below the minimum age requirement.
3. Photocopies of mark sheets of class 10 & 12 board examination for checking applicants’ academic performance and merit as per marks obtained in different subjects.
4. Certificates issued while leaving or transferring from the school to ensure that students’ previous school and academic record can be traced.
5. Contemporary photographs of the applicant in passport size for record and I.D card upon his/her admission.
6. Self-attested copy of SC/ST/OBC/EWS caste certificate for students belonging to the respective category to provide a proof of their category.
1. The aspirants can log on to the official website of the CIT namely www.cit.ac.in and scroll down the web page to look at the admission notification.
2. Complete online application form with the details of the qualifing examination, personal details and documents if any required by the last date stipulated.
3. As part of the application process, if your application is shortlisted, then the application fee is to be paid online and a seat for counseling is to be taken.
4. UG & PG Admissions – Attend document verification & Personal interview round on December.
5. Engage in the counseling sessions depending on the merit list likely to be displayed online to choose the course and college of your choice.
6. On obtaining the seat, the admission fees have to be paid to secure the place and complete the procedure in a specified timeframe.
1. Interested applicants should apply for the CIT Kokrajhar B.Tech programs through online or offline mode, depending on the choice of the candidates before the application closes.
2. JEET or JEE Mains exam are conducted to take a valid score. They are used in determining counseling and seat allocation lists known as merit list.
3. if shortlisted engage in counseling sessions depending on your score and submit your preferences for branch and college placement in a sequence.
4. Complete the admission process in the assigned college and get enrolled into the B.Tech course at CIT Kokrajhar after paying the admission/tuition fees and submitting original documents as required.
5. Join college and start attending college orientation, courses, and sessions when 1st year B.Tech session starts for CIT Kokrajhar.
6. Enroll all subjects which a student intends to take for the semester provided the student has paid his or her fees to enable him or her to attend classes, assignments, lab works and other related activities associated with B.Tech course in the college.

1. Verify eligibility criteria such as minimum 10+2 pass in any stream with not less than 50% marks, qualifying score in entrance examination like NATA/CEED/State.
2. Use online or offline mode of application along with prescribed documents before last date mentioned in the notification.
3. To write the entrance exam if any, or for preparation of merit list if it has been prepared according to percentage in class 12th.
4. The candidates can view the result/merit list and also join counselling session if called based on rank/merit.
5. Choose the stream B.Des during the counseling process and pay the admission fees to confirm the seat.
6. You are advised to complete all the document verification formalities and in addition, those who have paid the balance fees for confirming their admission in CIT Kokrajhar B.Des program, you can register for courses.
1. Eligibility – The candidate should be Master’s degree holder from a recognized university in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
2. Apply online by completing the application form – Please completed a personal details section, education history, research interests and attach necessary documents. Pay application fee online.
3. Take an entrance examination – The qualifying written test shall be conducted. Research for proficiency in exams, subject knowledge, analytical skills.
4. Interview round – Appropriate number of students as per the cut off obtained in the written test are interviewed by a panel of teachers about their area of research, potential etc.
5. Selection list: The final list of Selected candidates depends on performance in the written test, interview and academic performance.
6. Students who made the list need to present themselves at the admission office to physically confirm their admission documents and pay admission and semester fees within the set dates.
