Central University of Jammu (CUJ) is an accredited university tendered at Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It was found in the year 2009 and it is officially affiliated with University Grants Commission (UGC) and it has NAAC accreditation with B++ grade (CGPA 2.62). As per the NIRF rankings of 2023, CUJ has been ranked in the 101-150 band for overall ranking while it occupies 90th position in the university ranking band.
They include a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in various faculties that it covers such as arts, commerce, sciences, education, law. The CUJ offers a host of undergraduate programs among them being; BA Hons. The course title is Humanities and Social Sciences, and the degree is BSc Hons. Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics, BCom Hons. Central University of Jammu Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam From any stream with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) to join undergraduate programs.
2. For postgraduate programs, candidate requires a bachelor’s degree in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
3. For MPhil and PhD, candidate requires post graduate degree in any subject related to the department with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST).
4. The physical handicapped candidates have the relaxation of 5% marks for all the programs offered in the university.
5. For the professional courses such as LLB, BEd, candidate has to hold bachelor’s degree as per the course requirement with least 50 percent marks.
6. National /state level examinations like NET, GATE, Civil Services etc are also considered while screening the candidates as per the requirement of the program offered by university.
Central University of Jammu Placements 2024
The Training & Placement Cell at the Central University of Jammu is solely responsible for the placement of the students across the program offered at the university. The companies that come for campus placements in the current scenarios are Tata consultancy services, Infosys, Wipro, cognizant and Tech Mahindra. The Toppers and high achievers in the placements offered 2024. The maximum package offered in the TCS Digital was 17 lakhs per annum. In campus recruitment programmes about 65% of the overall campus recruitment through on-campus recruitment drives for IT, analytics, banking, education, manufacturing.
