Central University of Jammu has been established and providing a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the stream of science, social science, art and humanities. The basic requirement for admission into most of the programs is passing class 12th with the subjects that are relevant to the program and with at least 50% marks. Some programs require submission of certificates such as CAT, GMAT, SAT, IELTS or JEE Mains or CUET as part of admission requirements.
The University teaches degree courses in faculties like; Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Faculty of Life Sciences, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences faculties among others. The programs that are offered and are quite popular include the BSc Physics, Chemistry, Botany, BA English Literature Sociology, MSc Biotechnology, MCom, MA in English Literature, Economics.
1. The CU Jammu offers online applications through the official website, and the candidates can find more information regarding registration at www.cujammu.ac.in.
2. Make an account through registration of an email address and other details when necessary.
3. Once logged in, go to the online admissions application and complete all the entry fields with academic and personal information truthfully.
4. Scan and upload Photograph, Signature, certificate or Mark sheets etc as per the specific image requirements.
5. Click on the payment tab to pay the application fee of the examination through net banking/debit card/credit card.
6. Go over all the details as a final check and then click on the submit button to send in the completed application form.
7. For the offline, manual application process, the form can be downloaded from the website, and the completed hard copy along with the documents and the application fee has to be submitted at the University office.
Documents Required for Admission in CUJ Jammu for Different Courses:
1. Submit online against the advertisement published in newspapers, or apply through the prescribed Application Form on or before the last date with necessary details and documents.
2. Applicants who are shortlisted for an entrance test are issued admit card to write the test set by the university.
3. The revised merit list is then prepared based on the entrance exam marks and the eligibility criteria followed by the general and reserved categories.
4. Go for counselling session accordingly to the scheduled dates and select the course and college as per one’s ranking and preferences.
5. Make sure you accept the admission by paying the admission fee before the last date and provide necessary documents to the respective college allotted.
6. Collect enrollment and hall ticket from the college which you have been admitted and join the orientation/ class as per the time table which is provided.
1. Specify the essential requirements that a candidate fulfills such as a bachelor’s degree in a related subject and a minimum percentage as per guidelines.
2. To apply fill the application form and pay fees before the intended application date whether online or offline before the date set for application.
3. Sit for the entrance test, where it is applicable, and perform well enough to cross the cut-off marks.
4. Appear for counseling if called where documents are validated and the student is placed according to his performance.
5. If you have been allotted the seat, then you must complete all admission procedures by paying the fees and submitting the necessary documents within the specified time.
6. Submit the report to the concerned department in CUJ, Jammu latest by the date mentioned above and then report to the respective department for completing the enrollment procedures in order to confirm the M.Sc admission.
1. The minimum requirement for MBA admission at Central University of Jammu is that the candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with a minimum passing grade of 50%.
2. Online Mode – It is an internet based process of applying; the candidate has to get registered in the official website of CUJ and then has to fill a given online application form for MBA along with the last date.
3. Take CUET – Take the CUET formerly known as CUCET which is conducted by the National Testing Agency with PGQP01 as the subject code.
4. Check merit list - Aspirants who find their names in the merit list prepared according to the CUET scores and other parameters need to attend Counseling.
5. Document verification and fee payment - This involves attending the counselling session by CUJ and pay for fees in order to secure the admission.
6. Start of the course - The MBA program offered is a 2 year full time program as per the academic calendar of CUJ after the admission.
1. Check eligibility - Candidate must have master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. The last semester students can also apply for this job opportunity.

3. Sit for entrance examination – A exam conducted by CUJ for admission and for the purpose of testing the research ability, subject domain knowledge and language ability.
4. Take interview – The candidate’s who clear the written test are called for interview by subject experts to judge and test their research aptitude.
5. Selection criteria – The candidates who were selected after the interview, written examination and merit list on the academic results. Selected candidates are intimated.
6. Finalize admission process – Provide all documents, pay dues etc to secure admission and register with a research supervisor. Start the work in the research area related to the particular topic assigned.
