The Central University of Jharkhand is one of the newly established universities in Ranchi offering various programs in Science, Arts and Commerce, Engineering & Management. The condition that determines the eligibility of a candidate is not the same for everybody, especially for the different departments. For admission in the BTech programs the candidate must have passed the class 12th with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with an aggregate of 55% and should have obtained valid score in the JEE Main. To apply for BA/MA courses applicants may have passed class 12th in any stream with 50% marks for subjects like English, Economics, History. Admission process includes national level entrance examinations such as JEE Mains, CUET, GATE, or merit based admission to under graduate and post graduate programs.
The courses offered by the Central University of Jharkhand are spread across faculties/schools such as Faculty of Science & Engineering (B & M Tech), Faculty of Arts/Social Sciences/Management (BA/ B Com/ MA/ M Com/ MBA), Education (BEd/ MEd) etc. Qualifying in relevant national/state level entrance exams, submission of the application, counseling besides other formalities form part of the admission process In order to meet the cost of education, there are different scholarships and financial aid schemes for the needy and deserving as well as the marginalized candidates.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. This includes identity proof where documents such as Aadhaar card or PAN card or even passport are essential in establishing the identity of the individual besides confirming the details entered.

6. Original mark sheet of last examination attended and migration certificate is required to prove the certificate verification, examination taken and clearance status from the last college or university attended by the candidate.

1. Eligibility : Candidate must possess Masters degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade. Final semester candidates are also eligible for the application of the slots.
2. Choose the subject/discipline of study for the Ph.D and find an appropriate supervisor and the area of research. This has to correspond to the guild of interests of the facultative researches.
3. Submit the names and fee details in the online application form available at university website during the notification period. Upload documents.
4. Take entrance examination where applicable depending on the course you want to pursue. There are disciplines which may allow exemption.
5. In case qualified, sit for an interview before the research committee with research proposal and relevant documents.
6. If you are lucky to be selected by the committee and offered a chance to join the university, then you should pay for the fees and provide relevant documents within the set time.
7. Complete all legal formalities and join Ph.D program under assigned supervisor. The second rule should be to maintain attendance and progress according to the set regulations.
