- MPharma program enrollment is normally through an examination conducted by the university for interested students. This is followed by the counseling/interviews for the final selection.
- MPharma programmes are provided by the university in various fields such as Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, etc.
- The entrance exam eligibility is usually the BPharm/BPharma degree and the minimum percentage of marks as prescribed by the university.
- The number of seats offered for the MPharma programs differ annually due to approval.
- The application process, exam pattern, admission schedule, number of seats and eligibility criteria is generally announced through a press release by the university on their website during the admission season.
- The admissions to the M.Pharma program are on the basis of the scores obtained in an entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) called NIPER JEE.
- This is through the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Joint Entrance Examination that the candidate is required to sit for. This is a computer-based test with questions from areas of pharmacy, biology, chemistry, mathematics, and analysis, etc.
- After the test, the merit lists are prepared for different categories based on general, SC, ST etc. Like the merit lists, cut off marks are also provided by the universities or the concerned authorities.
- The students are supposed to secure the minimum cut-off marks and must fall within the number of seats available for the admission into the different M.Pharma specializations offered at Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University.
- However, if the marks obtained by the candidates are equal in the merit list, the candidate who has obtained higher percentage marks at the graduation level is preferable. If that number is also equal, then the candidate senior in age is given weightage.
