Doon University is a state university which was established in Dehradun, city in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. It was founded in 2005 being under an Act of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly and is accredited by the UGC. It is graded ‘A’ by NAAC and this was awarded in the year 2022 for Doon University. According to the NIRF rankings 2023, Doon University holds the 101 – 150 rank among all the universities in India.
These include the various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs are available in the following faculties: arts, commerce, sciences, computer application, education, law and legal studies, journalism & mass communication. Some of the most opted courses are in the fields of engineering, technology, sciences, arts, business administration, computer applications, teacher education, law etc. Admission process is carried out in May every year and the exams are written in June. The candidates can apply online through the university’s website or go for the offline application before the last date of submission. Students are selected on merit in the qualifying examinations and the seats are then provided for accordingly.
