The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) Shillong provides several courses with specialization in humanities departments and consists of MA in English, Comparative Literature, Linguistics and Hindi Translation programmes and also offers certificate and diploma courses. The admission criteria differ for each department – to be admitted to the English department, a candidate must possess a degree in English, having scored a minimum of 50% in the course. EFLU Shillong presents full time campus programs in different areas of specialization such as English literature, linguistics, translation, comparative literature etc. Selection procedure generally begins in December. This means that for the 2024 academic year, the application will be open from December 2023.
