This paper focuses on the following objectives: To provide an overview of GITAM University: GITAM is a deemed university, situated in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. GITAM was established in 1980, it is a government university under the University Grants Commission (UGC) and it has an ‘A’ Grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). As per NIRF Rankings 2023 published recently, GITAM has been ranked among 64 universities competing across India.
It came into existence in the year 1980 and is providing education in faculties of engineering, science, management, pharmacy and architecture with undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs at GITAM. There are several courses that students pursue at GITAM Some of the most sought after courses include the Btech programmes in CSE & ECE , MECHANICAL , BBA & MBA , MCA & MTech &PhD in various specializations. It is announced that admission process for the batch will start from February, 2024. GITAM GAT, GREE examinations will be held in March-April 2023 for admission in the institution. The application deadline of the candidates may be in May 2023, so interested candidates can apply. Seat allotment usually occurs in June with counseling and admissions.
GITAM has a very good record of placements; more than 500 reputed organization visit the college for placement every year. Many of the MNCs and IT giants which have established themselves in the country recruit from this institute which include Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, and various PSUs. The placement rate in 2022 was an even better 85% and the maximum annual package offered was 48 lakhs. The salary for average job profile offers anywhere between 6-8 lakhs per annum. GITAM has good interaction with industries and has a separate team for placement that ensures students get internships and jobs in well-known companies.

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management Placements 2024
The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management has been experiencing great placements for their students every year. The placement drive conducted in Batch 2021-22 has witnessed that more than 85 % of the eligible students got selected in reputed organizations. The maximum salary package went up to Rs 18 lakh per annum with Microsoft offering the highest package. Other prestigious organizations that offered jobs were Google, Amazon, and Tata Consultancy Services. In this case, the salary packages were standard for all the branches with the average salary package amounting to Rs 6.5 lakh per annum. Most students admitted secured employment in information technology, software development, data science, consulting and engineering positions in large companies. To this, the placement cell has attributed the success to institute’s rigorous training, grooming sessions and regret free industry tie-ups which prepare students with required ingredients to face the corporate world.
