Gour Banga University is situated in Malda, West Bengal and it has different undergraduate and postgraduate programs in arts, science commerce, law education stream. The criteria for admission to these departments are – for BA, BSc or BCom one should have passed higher secondary in the related stream with at least 45% marks. To apply for postgraduate programs such as MA, MSc or MCom, candidates need to have a relevant undergraduate degree with an average of 50% marks. Apart from the basic requirements such as the age limit and educational qualifications, the professional courses like law, education. have some more requirements including the scores in the entrance tests. It should be noted that the university accepts a variety of examinations such as HS, ISC, CBSE, and other State Boards as well.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Official photo identification in the form of an Aadhaar card, voter card, ration card to cross check the identity and residential proof of the candidate.
2. Passing certificate of a minimum secondary schooling completion from a recognized board along with the mark sheet of 10th standard.
3. 12th standard mark sheet and passing certificate from a recognized board for documents related to qualification examination for eligibility for admission.
4. Mark sheet of the examination passed by the candidate from the board or university last attended by the candidate.
5. If you want to avail quota benefits it is necessary to have the caste certificate for persons coming under the reserved category.
6. A income certificate for the candidates who are coming under EWS category for application. Any other certificates for other benefits of availing other reservation such as Sports quota, Differently abled quota.

2. It is essential to consider the pre-entry academic requirements such as subjects offered in the previous classes, percentage of marks, and entrance examinations for the programme.
3. If the application gets approved, then receive admit card. The admit card should be downloaded from the website and a hard copy should be taken.
