Govind Guru Tribal University (GGTU) is newly established state university located in the Banswara city of Rajasthan state in India. It was established in 2012, and it is undergoing recognition by the University Grants Commission (UGC) while having accreditation with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with B++. For example, GGTU was ranked 151 among universities in India according to the NIRF rankings of 2023. 

Undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs exist in various disciplines and fields of study comprising arts, science, education, commerce, management, computer applications and engineering. Govind Guru Tribal University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. Applicants are required to possess 10+2 or its equivalent qualification from any acknowledged board keeping in mind the minimum percentage prescribed as per the courses offered. Percentage prescribed are 45% to 50% for general category and 40% to 45% for reserved categories.

2. For the undergraduate courses it is mandatory that the candidates should have studied the particular subjects in their 10+2 examination depending on the course that the candidate is applying for. For instance, subjects offered under the Science Faculty for BSc, subjects offered under the commerce Faculty for BCom, etc.  

3. For some programs there may be certain additional requirements, like an entrance test, or work experience, or any other prerequisites that the candidates must fulfill in order to be a part of the program. This is explained in details in the prospectus of any university of choice.

Govind Guru Tribal University (GGTU) was initiated in the year 2004 in the city of Godhra, Gujarat, with the purpose of offering higher education opportunities to tribal population. GGTU provides wide and diverse under graduate, post graduate and doctoral programs in various fields and streams such as arts, science, education, law, computer application, social work and tribal development.

The trend analysis of the placement status in GGTA reveals that it has emerged as an excellent destination in the past few years. As expected above, in the 2021 batch, more than 75% of the students who were appearing for placements were successfully placed in companies. The leading recruiters which were specific for our college were Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys and Tech Mahindra who offered placements to 60% of the placed students. Delivering the highest salary package of Rs 8.5 lakhs per annum, American Express was the highest recruiter while the average salary package offered was Rs. 4.2 lakhs per annum. Due to the growing number of partnerships with industries that include offering job-oriented programs, the university targets above 85% placement for the next batch of students in higher salary packages.
