Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is a popular university located in New Delhi and offers various undergraduate and post graduate programs in almost all stream including engineering, management, law, education, medicine, nursing, physiotherapy etc. Some of the popular courses offered include the Btech, MBA, BBA among others, BA LLB, BPT among others. For seeking admission to the BTech programs like Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil etc one need to pass class XII with minimum 60% marks in PCM group and pass in JEE Main. For admission in BBA and MBA, candidate must have passed in any stream in class 12th with 50% marks and must have scored good marks in CMAT/CAT. Since, it is known as IP University scores of different entrance tests like JEE Mains, GATE, CAT, XAT, MAT are considered for its tech as well as management programs. For medical fields like MBBS and BDS, it has provision for merit in NEET exam along with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology at 12th standard.
GGSIPU imparts full time and part time courses in engineering, technology, management, law, medical sciences, education, journalism etc. at around 150 institutions. It is worth to be noted that university has released the latest update about the admission in its UG and PG level programs for the session 2024. Every candidate who wants to take their exam can find exam schedules and can fill their applications online before the deadline. The admission process of the colleges involves the following steps – Application, fee payment, entrance test (if required) and obtaining the minimum required marks and then the college and course choice through counseling. The candidates successful in the counselling process will be given admission in their preferred college and course depending on the availability of seats, the fulfilment of eligibility criteria, and verification of documents. It has been expected that the admission process for 2024 batch shall begin as from October, 2023.

In general, the application process, which is done online, can be deemed to be relatively more convenient. One can apply for the course online by logging into the university’s official website www.ipu.ac.in and the tab ‘Admission’ must be clicked on. To apply for the course, they are required to set up their login ID and an account for the password; complete the application form; upload their scanned documents; make a payment for the application fees; and finally, submit the form.
For the offline mode of application, candidates have to go to the university’s campus or the other centers mentioned to pick the application form. For the submission of the application forms, the original documents and the application fees; the students can either visit and submit the documents to the university’s admission branch or send the documents through post/courier. Likewise, the application fees remain the same regardless of whether the application is made online or offline.

The documents required for the further process includes the Aadhaar card, PAN card or driving license which is attached with the application form. This is to ensure that the applicant meets the required qualification and for this purpose, the applicants are required to produce their 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates. It’s also important to note that all semester mark sheets and degree certificates are to be submitted by the graduates. - The held Common Entrance Test for the admission in B.Tech programs called IPU CET is organized by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
- According to the previous year, the registration process for IPU CET 2024 will begin from March/ April 2024. These exams will be conducted in the month of May of the academic year 2024.
- Eligibility criteria for IPU CET B.Tech: A candidate should have passed the 12th standard examination with minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with 55% for SC/ST.
- B.Tech courses are available for admissions across 9 colleges affiliated with GGSIPU, and it is done as per the merit obtained in CET-I. The popular and favorite courses include Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil and so on.
- Seats are categorized under several quotas; all India quota, Delhi quota, other than Delhi quota, and minority quotas according to domicile and categories.
- Counselling is conducted in different phases in June July 2024. This means that the seats are distributed based on the ranks obtained, the options that are selected, and the availability of the seats.
- It’s always better to register early in the year for B.Tech usually, it starts in May. It is usually set in mid of June but it may vary depending on the specific institution interested in the program.
- Such tests as IPU CET B.Tech– the entrance examination for admission to the University/ Institute offering the B.Tech degree are usually in mid June.
- The first counselling and seat allotment generally occurs in the last week of June or the first week of July depending on students entrance exam performances and ranks.
- Second and third counsellings take place in July to cater to vacancies left in the institutions across the country.

1. The admission process of IPU is done on the basis of the CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by the same university.
2. In admission process, the candidate has to register themselves through a centralised online counselling registration form after declaration of CET result.

1. The BBA course is offered under the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) at GGSIPU Delhi. The BBA program is offered at two faculties of management studies, these are FMS Dwarka and FMS Kashmere Gate.
2. The BBA course has the admission process through IPU CET BBA examination organized by GGSIPU only. It takes place every year, mostly in the month of May. For the upcoming 2024 academic year, the entrance examination for admission should be administered in May 2023.
3. Eligibility criteria for appearing in IPU-CET BBA: Has passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from any recognized central / state board / university or other recognized institutions securing minimum 50% aggregate marks. Any student who is aspiring to write his or her 12th in the year 2023 is eligible to apply.
4. Application process: The entrance examination is offered in March/April 2023 and the application for exam must be submitted. The application process will be online for all the candidates at the official website of IP University which is ipu.ac.in and along with the application fee.
5. The IPU CET BBA Exam will have multiple choice questions in English, General Awareness, Logical and analytical ability and Numerical ability sections. Total marks - 150, Duration: It should take 2 hours to complete the language assessment.
6. The admission process of BBA is highly competitive and is depends on the IPU-CET BBA entrance exam scores where the Admission Committee selects candidates for admission to BBA course. No GD/PI is conducted.
- For the BBA program, GGSIPU holds the Common Entrance Test (CET), and students have to secure minimum 45% aggregate to be eligible for the examination. The CET is usually in May or June.
- The application process is typically initiated during the month of March. In the case of new applicant registration, the last date to submit application is usually in the first or second week of May.
- Later on, GGSIPU declares the merit list comprising of candidates who have been selected after CET exam. This is usually done in June:
- The counsellingprocedure for admissions in BBA begins atthe end of June or early July depending on merit. There can be several counseling sessions.
- End semester examination and other academic activities are planned and organized after the final merit list and allotment of seats by third or fourth week of July of every year for all the counselling sessions.
- These candidates then exercise their acceptance by filling admission formalities before the last week of July when the new session begins.

- The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi also known as GGSIPU, has a common entrance test known as CET for admission in M.Sc programs. As for the CET, it can be expected that it will be conducted in May/June 2024 for admission in the academic year 2024-2025.
- In order to be eligible for admission to the M.Sc programs of GGSIPU, one has to pass their bachelor’s degree examination in the relevant subject withminimum percentage as the criteria that differs from course to course. Students can apply on a provisional basis if they are in their final year of study at a higher education institution.
- GGSIPU provides M.Sc in subjects like Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences etc. It should be noted that the M.Sc course for all the above mentioned subjects is not same as it differs in terms of eligibility, exam pattern and selection procedure.
- Depending on CET scores and academic percentages, the counseling rounds will be conducted for the seat allotments and further admission process. The counselling schedule is generally declared at the time of CET results.
- An exemption in regard to the percentage of batch size and admission process is entertained for categories such as SC/ST/OBC/Defence as per government norms.
1. To enter into M.Sc programs a student must go through entrance test conducted by the university. Some of the important common entrance tests are CET-PGMC for the courses like M. Sc.
2. For admission, candidates have to clear the eligibility norms by securing minimum aggregate percentage in their respective bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject for each of the programs offered at the University.
3. The entrance exam primarily comprises 100 multiple choice questions from quantitative abilities, reasoning, and questions on the bachelor level syllabi of the respective discipline.
4. In accordance with that, the counseling is done and the seats are assigned based on the scores/ranks obtained in the entrance examination, followed by choices and availability of the candidates.

- Teaching positions are advertised through newspapers daily and on the official GGSIPU’s website portal www.ggsipu.ac.in. In most cases, the application process begins in March of each year.
- The admissions are according to the CET scores and the interview/viva-voce conducted by the concerned respective departments of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

- The total seats and programs offered may differ for each academic year and also depends on the approval from the concerned regulatory authorities.
1. The general information on the university web site or the advertisement should provide specific information on the dates of the application. This usually begins in the middle of the year, precisely in May or June every year.
