Gujarat University of Science and Technology, established in the year 1995 and it is affiliated to the Government of Haryana. It is an autonomous institution that provides numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programs in science, arts, commerce, engineering, pharmacy, etc Some of the major departments and criteria of admission are- B. Tech civil/mec/CS/ECM – 45% in Physics, chemistry and mathematics in 10+2. To get the BPharm one has to pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology subjects. BA/BSc/BCom holds 10 + 2 in relevant stream with minimum marks fixed by respective state government norms. MA/MSc posses a bachelor’s degree of relevant subject with minimum aggregate declared by the university. The premier qualifications for MTech is BE/BTech in a relevant field or possessing a valid GATE score or minimum percentage as prescribed by the university.
University provides educational courses in numerous fields of study including BTech, BPharm, BA, BCom, BSc, MA MSc, MTech, etc All courses are semester based. Some of the key exams and admission dates include: MET: This is the admission test for admission to the BTech courses, which is held in May/June. To enroll in BPharm, UG courses, candidates need to take university level LEET exam and then counseling is conducted in the months of June-July. Admission to PG courses is another process that mandates the candidates to write entrance test conducted by the respective departments and the counseling session is held during July-August. Many exams are taken physically in test stations and this has remained a common tradition for many years. The process of admission is completed through online registration where the link is provided by the university website and this is done when the university invites applications around April-May every year, appearing for entrance examination tests when required, checking merit list when announced in the month of July, and finally going for counseling session as per planned by the university. It is mainly during mid of August that the new academic session commences for most of the courses.
